| Summary: | The aim of the paper is to investigate the gender bias in evaluation and to assess whether the evaluation made by women and men differ. Using the sample of university students and regression model, it is examined whether the evaluation of the individual dependent on the gender of the evaluated and the evaluator. The results show that the evaluation of performance can be influenced by the gender of both the evaluated and the evaluator. In our case, women scored better than men on average, and women were generally stricter than men in their evaluations. These conclusions are quite surprising and may indicate that the young generation is not burdened by gender stereotypes about women's lower performance. The higher strictness of women in the assessment may be a reflection of the higher demands placed on women by the current generation. Women thus reflect these high claims in their evaluation.
