Summary: | The engagement of students with disabilities in social relationships with peers has become essential as inclusive practices have become more common. In the present paper the authors analyze a number of research studies on psychosocial situation of children with special educational needs in early primary education. They show the specificity of peer relationships of children with disabilities in inclusive education (their sociometric position, and the assessment of these relationships made by students with disabilities, typically developing students, and teachers), as well as good practices that can help improve the quality of relationships between children with and without disabilities.
