Summary:This paper proposes a reflection on how reflexive activities could optimize the effectiveness of grammatical discourses provided by pedagogical grammars. It presents a study of the verbalizations of Polish-speaking learners resulting from a reflexive task about the value of the grammatical aspect in French. The aim is to examine how the meta- and epilinguistic representations of Polish-speaking learners of the category in question are articulated with the explicit input to which learners have had access. The results of this study show that reflexive activities highlight the difficulties of learners related to the interpretation of reference discourses. This type of data can be beneficial in reconstructing the learner’s grammar.
