| Summary: | Abstract: Writing is often regarded as a difficult, complex cognitive task for many English Foreign Language learners who are struggling to master it. In light of that, this study aimed to examine the effect of using E-mail Dialogue Journal Writing on empowering students’ writing performance. In this study, a quasi-experimental pre/post-tests non-equivalent group design was pursued. This design needs two groups, an experimental (a treatment group) and a control group (a nonequivalent control group), to pass a pre-test and a post-test. The experimental group received a treatment, and the control group received no treatment, and the latter was used as a comparison measurement for the results reached from the experimental group. The experimental group was treated using E-mail Dialogue Journal Writing over a period of 10 weeks. After the intervention, a posttest was administered to both groups to assess the impact of integrating E-mail Dialogue Journal Writing on empowering learners’ writing performance. The statistical analysis indicates that there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental one. The findings of the study display that the implementation of E-mail Dialogue Journal Writing proves its efficiency in developing students’ writing performance and enhancing their positive attitudes towards writing in English. The study recommends the use of E-mail Dialogue Journal Writing as a tool to empower the writing process in teaching/learning, especially with the rapid increase and progress of educational technology.
