Summary: | Global events have become a driving force for digital transformation in education. In the digital transformation process, education systems have started to evolve within a digital infrastructure and have gone beyond traditional education patterns. This process has reshaped education systems and increased the importance of digital competence. Therefore, in this digital transformation process, teachers’ digital competence levels have emerged as a critical concept for the sustainability of education systems and the effectiveness and efficiency of education, and as a prerequisite for the effectiveness of learning processes. As a result, many academic studies have been conducted in recent years to investigate this need. The aim of this research is to analyze academic studies that focus on teachers’ digital competence using bibliometric analysis methods. Among the results, it was found that the number of publications has been steadily increasing, with Spain being the country that produces the most publications in the field concerning teacher digital competence. |
