Description
Summary:Foreign body-induced sialolithiasis is a relatively rare but clinically significant phenomenon. Here, we report the removal of foreign body induced sialolith in the Stenson’s duct in a 35-year-old female who presented with swelling, pain in the left parotid gland, and pus discharge in the left Stenson’s duct. Clinical and imaging findings confirmed a metal strip entrapped within the calculi occluding the Stensons duct. The aim of the article is to highlight the significance of the foreign body as a potential trigger for sialolithiasis and emphasize the prompt diagnosis and appropriate management.
