Description
Summary:This article explores the impact of welcoming students in situations of exile on the teaching practices and professional identity of FLE teachers in the DU RELIER (Return to study through language and interculturality of refugee students) at the University of Strasbourg. The E.MEnS.I.P project (teachers in the MEnS network: let’s interact between practitioners), initiated in 2023, reveals that teachers, faced with the challenges of adaptation and self-censorship, are gradually redefining their professional identity to incorporate intercultural and social dimensions. The article highlights the need for ongoing collective reflection and stronger institutional support within the higher education institutions in the MEnS network.
