Description
Summary:This essay aims to demonstrate the results of the spatialization of basic sanitation in the state of Minas Gerais, in southeastern Brazil, based on official data from the 2010 Demographic Census, as well as through legislation and correlations with data from the health area and investments that were made to analyze regional inequalities in the distribution of sanitation in the state of Minas Gerais. It also seeks to make questioning contributions on the contradictory and perverse process of privatizing economic opening of the sanitation services sector, in line with other neoliberal policies that prevent access to basic sanitation and, therefore, continue to violate the basic rights of the population.
