description Green extraction of flavonoids compounds from Vaccinium vitis-idaea L. has received considerable attention due to their potential applications in the food science and biomedical field. In this study, microwave-assisted deep eutectic solvent extraction method was explored to extract total flavone from Vaccinium vitis-idaea L. fruit power. The extraction parameters were optimized response surface experiments. The optimal extraction conditions were as follows: the molar ratio of choline chloride and 1,3-butanediol is 1:1, water content is 50% (V/V), liquid-solid ratio is 15:1 (VmL: Wg), extraction temperature is 55 ℃, and extraction time is 20 min. Under these optimized conditions, the extraction rate of general flavone is 96.29 mg/g, which is 1.47 times high than that of 75% ethanol extraction and 2.33 times than that of pure water extraction under pH = 2.0 conditions. Furthermore, the crude extract obtained by deep eutectic solvent extraction has strong scavenging ability on DPPH free radical, hydroxyl radical and superoxide anion radical. In addituon, the crude extract has efficient antibacterial activity aginst Escherichia coli, Bauman bacillus and Candida albicans. All these results provided the fundmential data for further development of Vaccinium vitis-idaea L. extract as a new natural antioxidant and antibacterial agent.
