Summary:The technical acts of French contemporary naturopathy are entirely similar with those promoted by German Naturheilkunde. This observation might suggest that there is a linear continuity between the Lebensreform ideology that emerged in Germany at the end of the 19th century and this contemporary therapy. Nevertheless, this heritage also expresses itself through the similarity of a mode of social changes triggering a form of political action that belongs to the realm of political ecology.
