Description
Summary:This paper explores the effects of incorporating alternative feed sources, such as agro-industrial by-products, bakery products, alternative sources obtained from the vegetable oil industry, into dairy cow diets. These alternative feeds significantly enhance the fatty acid profile of milk by increasing beneficial components like omega-3, vaccenic acid, and rumenic acid, while reducing saturated fats. Additionally, using these feeds promotes more sustainable animal production by lowering costs and reducing food waste, all while improving the nutritional quality of milk, which offers potential health benefits for consumers.
