Generation of Quantum Vortex Electrons with Intense Laser Pulses by Zhigang Bu, Liangliang Ji, Xuesong Geng, Shiyu Liu, Shaohu Lei, Baifei Shen, Ruxin Li, Zhizhan Xu

    Published 2024-11-01
“…The wave function of the scattered electron is twisted from its initial plane‐wave state to the quantum vortex state. Nonlinear quantum electrodynamics (QED) theory suggests that the GeV‐level electrons acquire average intrinsic OAM beyond ⟨l⟩∼100ℏ at laser intensities of 1020 W cm−2 with linear scaling. …”

Control of Vortex Helicity With a Quarter-Wave Plate in an Er:YAG Ceramic Solid State Laser by Qiyao Liu, Yongguang Zhao, Wei Zhou, Jianing Zhang, Li Wang, Weichao Yao, Deyuan Shen

    Published 2017-01-01
“…In this paper, we research the characteristics of the Laguerre-Gaussian (LG01) beams generated in an Er:YAG ceramic solid state laser pumped by an annular beam. The generated two LG01 beams (LG0,&#x002B;1 and LG0,&#x2212;1 modes) were found to have different thermally induced polarization behaviors and alternately existed in the resonator; then, a novel method was proposed and experimentally demonstrated to control the vortex helicity using a simple quarter-wave plate.…”

Vortex safety when flying at an assigned flight level by A. I. Zhelannikov

    Published 2024-07-01
“…It is known that a trailing vortex forms behind a flying plane. By the time, the trailing vortex descends and may be found at another flight level. …”

Study Effect of Fluctuations of Pressure Factors of Stepped Short-throat Shaft Spillways on Hydraulic Coefficient by R. Aghamajidi, M. Mansuri, M. Mansouri

    Published 2023-07-01
“…As for the spillways with stepped conduits (three steps), the pressure changes were found to be very tangible using a sextuple arrangement of vortex breakers for intermediate discharge rates; in some of the states, the pressure on the spillway's body is found to be intensely decreased. …”

Flux jumps, cluster distribution model and vortex phase diagram of oxygenated YBa2Cu3-xAlxO6+δ single crystals for H|| ab by Ashna Babu, S. P. Sruthy, D. Jaiswal-Nagar

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Detailed investigations on crystal A revealed the direction dependence of SMP anomaly at temperatures below 25 K, above which the direction dependence vanishes. The state of spatial order of the vortex lattice was found to be correlated to the vortex lattice symmetry that underwent a change at certain fields and was captured via single flux jumps observed in the third and fifth quadrant of magnetisation hysteresis loops. …”

Design of a Wave-Shaped Towing Cable for Stable, Low-Drag Acoustic Monitoring in Wave Glider Systems by Tian Yingyuan, Chen Yaxun, Qi Yang, Lv Yunfei, Li Weijia

    Published 2025-09-01
“…Furthermore, the vibration-damping effectiveness of the cable was found to increase with wave number, albeit at the cost of reduced towing speed. …”

Observation of Yu-Shiba-Rusinov-like states at the edge of CrBr3/NbSe2 heterostructure by Yuanji Li, Ruotong Yin, Mingzhe Li, Jiashuo Gong, Ziyuan Chen, Jiakang Zhang, Ya-Jun Yan, Dong-Lai Feng

    Published 2024-11-01
“…We find that the single-layer CrBr3 film is insulating and acts likely as a vacuum barrier, the measured superconducting gap and vortex state on it are nearly the same as those of NbSe2 substrate. …”

In-Plane Gradient Magnetic Field-Induced Topological Defects in Rotating Spin-1 Bose–Einstein Condensates with SU(3) Spin-Orbit Coupling by Hui Yang, Peng-Yu Li, Bo Yu

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Without rotation, as the quadrupole field strength is increased, the spin <i>F</i><inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> BECs with SU(3) spin–orbit coupling (SOC) evolves from the initial Thomas–Fermi phase into the stripe phase; then, it enters a vortex–antivortex cluster state and eventually a polar-core vortex state. …”
