Impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on Poverty Reduction in Countries along the Route by Wei Ma, Na Bo, Yang Song, Fuwei Qiao

    Published 2022-01-01
“…The results show that (1) the BRI can significantly reduce the incidence of poverty with the impact coefficient stable at −0.26, and the empirical conclusion has passed the parallel test, placebo test, and instrumental variable test; (2) the mediating effect test model shows that the BRI can achieve poverty reduction through the dual openness of trade and investment, and the intermediary effect of trade openness is greater than investment openness; and (3) from the perspective of heterogeneity analysis, geographically, the BRI has a slightly higher role in promoting poverty reduction in landlocked countries than in coastal countries. …”

Spatial analysis of vitality indicators with emphasis on urban roads in Mashhad metropolis by Ahmad hajarian

    Published 2024-12-01
“…The study results show that regions 9, 1, and 4 have the highest, and regions 3, 12, and 10 have the lowest levels of vitality indicators with an emphasis on urban roads in Mashhad. Based on the results of the PLS structural equation testing, the leisure and recreation variable with a total impact coefficient of 0.658 has the greatest impact on vitality with an emphasis on urban roads. …”

Multi-Segment Variable Speed Predictive Control Strategy for Eliminating Traffic Bottlenecks in Emergency Cases on Super-Long-Span Bridges by Jingwen Yang, Ping Wang

    Published 2024-12-01
“…In this paper, we investigate traffic bottlenecks, a primary cause of congestion that significantly impacts the overall efficiency of traffic networks. To address this challenge, a multi-segment variable speed limit control strategy is proposed to mitigate moving bottlenecks, particularly those on super-long-span bridges. …”

A Simulation-Based Comprehensive Analysis for Traffic Efficiency and Spatial Distribution of Risks in Short Weaving Area of Municipal Interchange by Xiaofei Wang, Zhenzhong Ding, Kai Guo, Yongjie Lin

    Published 2021-01-01
“…To explore the factors affecting traffic efficiency and the spatial distribution characteristics of traffic risks in the weaving areas of municipal interchanges, this study employed a microscopic traffic software of Vissim to construct a simulation model of weaving areas and evaluate the impact of road and traffic design parameters in the short weaving on traffic efficiency and risks, which includes ramp delay, mainline through lane (TL) traffic delay, average ramp speed, TL average speed, and collision rate. …”
