Williams, S. L. Wong, J. Woo

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We estimate the VHE flux upper limit of  ∼1.2  × 10 ^−12 erg s ^−1 cm ^−2 in the 0.5–5.0 TeV range from W44 using data from the Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System. Our nondetection of W44 at VHE wavelengths is in agreement with observations from other imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes and is perhaps consistent with the evolutionary stage of the SNR.…”

Fuzzy reliability theory analysis of traffic signal lamp performance by Mason D. Gemar, Shidong Pan, Zhanmin Zhang, Randy B. Machemehl

    Published 2025-03-01
“…To accomplish this task, the progression of the reliability assessment from individual lamp to the entire signal light system for a corridor is demonstrated. Furthermore, due to the nature of these systems and reliability assessment strategies, it is suggested that fuzzy, or more specifically, profust reliability theory could be applied to effectively analyze LED arrays, as well as corridor-wide signal light systems. …”
