Construction of a novel inflammatory-related prognostic signature of acute myelocytic leukemia based on conjoint analysis of single-cell and bulk RNA sequencing by Yongfen Huang, Ping Yi, Ping Yi, Yixuan Wang, Lingling Wang, Yongqin Cao, Jingbo Lu, Kun Fang, Kun Fang, Yuexin Cheng, Yuqing Miao, Yuqing Miao

    Published 2025-06-01
“…This study aims to construct a novel risk model for AML patient through comprehensive analysis of scRNA and bulk RNA data to optimize the precise treatment strategies for patients and improve prognosis. Methods and ResultsscRNA-seq classified cells into nine clusters, including Bcells, erythrocyte, granulocyte-macrophage progenitor (GMP), hematopoietic stem cell progenitors (HSC/Prog), monocyte/macrophagocyte (Mono/Macro), myelocyte, neutrophils, plasma, and T/NK cells. Functional analysis demonstrated the important role of inflammation immune response in the pathogenesis of AML, and the leukocyte transendothelial migration and adhesion in the process of inflammation should be noticed. ssGSEA method identified four core cells including GMP, HSC/Prog, Mono/Macro, and myelocyte for subsequent analysis, which contains 1,594 marker genes. …”

Comparative analysis of AQP7 expression and cryotolerance in X- and Y-chromosome bearing bovine sperm by Jieru Wang, Jieru Wang, Ruchun Li, Fei Huang, Peng Niu, Yanling Zheng, Dongfang Yuan, Yan Du, Congcong Li, Mingcai Yang, Jiajia Suo, Jiajia Suo, Qinghua Gao, Qinghua Gao

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Immunofluorescence revealed AQP7 localization to the post-acrosomal region, midpiece, and principal piece of Y-sperm with higher fluorescence intensity, whereas AQP3 distribution was comparable between groups.DiscussionThese findings imply a potential role for AQP7 in augmenting Y-sperm cryotolerance, providing molecular insights into sex-specific cryopreservation effects on fertility outcomes. Future research should elucidate AQP7’s functional mechanisms and explore implications for livestock breeding technologies.…”

Leveraging Cognitive and Speech Ecological Momentary Assessment in Individuals With Phenylketonuria: Development and Usability Study of Cognitive Fluctuations in a Rare Disease Pop... by Shifali Singh, Lisa Kluen, Katelin Curtis, Raquel Norel, Carla Agurto, Elizabeth Grinspoon, Zoe Hawks, Shawn Christ, Susan Waisbren, Guillermo Cecchi, Laura Germine

    Published 2025-06-01
“…ConclusionsPreliminary results of this study demonstrate strong reliability of cognitive EMA, indicating that EMA is a promising tool for evaluating fluctuations in cognitive status in this population. Future work should refine and expand the utility of these digital tools, determine how variable EMA frequencies might better characterize changes in functioning as they relate to blood-based biomarkers, and validate a singular battery that could be rapidly administered at scale and in clinical trials to determine the progression of disease.…”
