Response surface optimization of sedimentation efficiency for sustainable green microalgae harvesting using automated non-invasive methods
Published 2025-07-01“…This approach, rarely applied in microalgae harvesting, enables real-time assessment without disturbing the culture, enhancing process control and scalability. Sedimentation efficiency was influenced by cell morphology, biochemical composition, and environmental factors such as pH, salinity, gas exchange, and culture volume. …”

Characterization of sediment contamination and benthic habitat response in mangrove ecosystems of Hainan Province
Published 2025-05-01“…DiscussionTotal phosphorus and total nitrogen were the most important environmental factors affecting community composition, while total dissolved solids influenced overall changes in species composition, highlighting the significant influence of the type of mangrove cover on sediment pollution and environmental factors, leading to significant changes in the biomass and density of benthic organisms. …”

Elasticity of Nacrite: Implications for Subduction Zone Dynamics
Published 2024-12-01“…Nacrite, Al2Si2O5(OH)4, a mineral consisting of these components, forms in basaltic crust through hydrothermal alteration and is frequently overlooked due to its structural alikeness with its polytypes, making it hard to distinguish by traditional methods. Its occurrence in oceanic sediments and altered basaltic crust significantly impacts the subduction process by facilitating the transport of water into deeper mantle regions. …”

Multi-element Accurate Analysis of Sulfide Minerals by Low-temperature Ablation LA-ICP-MS
Published 2023-10-01“…The average diameters were 190nm and 400nm, both smaller than at room temperature, while the peak width was shorter. The chemical composition of fine particles produced at low temperature is closer to the sample body, improving the transport and ionization of aerosol in ICP, reducing element fractionation, and enhancing the signal strength and stability, thereby improving the analytical performance of ICP-MS.CONCLUSIONSA new high-precision and accuracy method for determination of trace elements in sulfide minerals has been developed using the CLA-ICP-MS system. …”

Geochemical Evaluation of the Kazhdumi Formation in the Northwest of the Persian Gulf
Published 2024-03-01“…These conclusions are confirmed by oxygen-depleted conditions reported in the central to northeastern parts of the central Dezful depression (Bordenave and Hegre 2005; Sfidari et al. 2016).At the same time, the southwest of the basin (the location of Foroozan and Soroosh fields) is influenced by the influx of turbulent river waters and no layering state in the water column (by density) has been created. Therefore, as marine organic materials have been relatively degraded due to the dominance of dryness in the upper parts of the Kazhdumi Formation, this part of the formation has been deposited in marine conditions containing oxygen. On the other hand, the interpretation of tectonic factors on events after the deposition of the Kazhdumi Formation provides clear information on the maturity changes of the Kazhdumi Formation from the Foroozan, Soroosh towards the Hendijan fields. …”
