Psychology's Questionable Research Fundamentals (QRFs): Key problems in quantitative psychology and psychological measurement beyond Questionable Research Practices (QRPs) by Jana Uher, Jan Ketil Arnulf, Jan Ketil Arnulf, Paul T. Barrett, Moritz Heene, Jörg-Henrik Heine, Jack Martin, Lucas B. Mazur, Lucas B. Mazur, Marek McGann, Robert J. Mislevy, Craig Speelman, Aaro Toomela, Ron Weber, Ron Weber

    Published 2025-08-01
“…This comprehensive multi-perspectival review presents diverse philosophies of science that are used in quantitative psychology and pinpoints four major areas of development. (1) Psychology must advance its general philosophy of science (esp. ontology, epistemology, methodology) and elaborate coherent paradigms. (2) Quantitative psychologists must elaborate the philosophy-of-science fundamentals of specific theories, approaches and methods that are appropriate for enabling quantitative research and for implementing genuine analogues of measurement in psychology, considering its study phenomena's peculiarities (e.g., higher-order complexity, non-ergodicity). (3) Psychologists must heed the epistemic necessity to logically distinguish between the study phenomena (e.g., participants' beliefs) and the means used for their exploration (e.g., descriptions of beliefs in items) to avoid confusing ontological with epistemological concepts—psychologists' cardinal error. …”

Research of Aerodynamic Design Method for the Intercity EMUs by DING Sansan, DU Jian, LIU Jiali, SHANG Keming

    Published 2015-01-01
“…Intercity EMUs heads corresponding to four speed grades were obtained, and the validation of the aerodynamic design was conducted by the numerical simulation, wind tunnel test and line test. The research showed that the error between the simulation result and the experimental result was small, which could meet the accuracy requirement of engineering computation. …”

Research on the Precession Characteristics of Hemispherical Resonator Gyro by Li-Jun Song, Rui Yang, Wang-Liang Zhao, Xing He, Shaoliang Li, You-Jun Ding

    Published 2021-01-01
“…A series of hemispherical resonator models are constructed by ANSYS software to prove the results of theoretical research. The simulation results show that precession factor of the hemispherical resonator is more sensitive of the top angle than the bottom angle, and the error of angular velocity which is caused by the change of the top angle is larger than that which is caused by the change of the bottom angle.…”

Research on Cooperative Localization Method in Dynamic Networks by ZHANG Zhihua, SUN Bin, LI Bingchen, ZHOU Zhongfu, SHEN Feng

    Published 2024-12-01
“…In order to address the above problems, this paper carries out the research on cooperative localization method, and proposes the filtering method of adaptive adjustment of observation error covariance matrix and the fusion of the federated filtering method, which enables the cooperative localization system to work normally in the case of the change of anchor nodes and ordinary nodes among mobile nodes, the disappearance or emergence of ranging values between nodes, and the random access and exit of nodes, etc. …”

Research of Regenerative Braking Strategy for Electric Vehicles by Van Nghia Le, Hoang Phuc Dam, Trong Hoan Nguyen, S. V. Kharitonchik, V. A. Kusyak

    Published 2023-04-01
“…In order to test the adequacy of the simulation model to reproduce the relationship between the operating parameters of electric vehicles various systems and evaluate their ability to regenerate energy during braking the simulation results were compared with the actual experimental data published by the Lab Avt research laboratory (USA). The relative error of the mathematical modeling results of the braking energy regeneration processes is 4.5 %, which indicates the adequacy of the electric vehicle simulation model and the possibility of its using as a base for research and comparison of the energy efficiency of various regenerative braking strategies. …”
