Dynamic reduction method for frame structures by Buntara S. Gan, Kien Nguyen-Dinh, Mitsuharu Kurata, Eiji Nouchi

    Published 2013-07-01
“…In other words, after the responses of SDOF system evaluated by the modal and dynamic analyses, then it is not possible to recover back the responses of the other condensed degree of freedoms accurately. In the new Strain Reduction Method, displacement and rotational DOFs of all nodal points in the frame structures except an arbitrarily selected representative node are transformed into their strains field before the reduction process. …”

Quantifying the impact of precision errors on quantum approximate optimization algorithms by Gregory Quiroz, Paraj Titum, Phillip Lotshaw, Pavel Lougovski, Kevin Schultz, Eugene Dumitrescu, Itay Hen

    Published 2025-06-01
“…We show using both analytical techniques and numerical simulations that fixed precision implementations of QAOA circuits are subject to an exponential degradation in performance dependent upon the number of optimal QAOA layers and magnitude of the precision error. Despite this significant reduction, we show that it is possible to mitigate precision errors in QAOA via digitization of the variational parameters at the cost of increasing circuit depth.…”

Study on Transmission Error of Cylindrical Gear with Arcuate Tooth Trace by Ma Dengqiu, Ye Zhenhuan, An Yu, Wu Tingqiang, Chen Fangzhou

    Published 2020-04-01
“…In order to study the transmission error of the cylindrical gear with arcuate tooth trace,a torsional vibration model of the cylindrical gear with arcuate tooth trace transmission system is proposed, and a dynamics model is established based on 3D model. The influence of tooth width, tooth line radius, load and rotation speed on the transmission error is analyzed. The results show that, the transmission error fluctuates periodically around 0 when the structure parameters and working conditions are different; the transmission error amplitude decreases first and then increases with the increase of the tooth width; the transmission error amplitude changes in shape of “W” with the increase of the tooth line radius, that is,it first decreases and then increases with the increase of the tooth line radius, and then first decreases and then increases with the increase of the tooth line radius; the transmission error amplitude increases with the increase of load and rotating speed. The results provide the theoretical basis for the noise reduction and lubrication, fault diagnosis and gear tooth geometric modification of the cylindrical gear with arcuate tooth trace.…”
