Exploring the role of mitochondrial metabolism and immune infiltration in myocardial infarction: novel insights from bioinformatics and experimental validation
Published 2025-05-01“…In MI mice, expression trends of four hub MitoDEGs (Cox5b, Ndufa2, Ndufs6, and Uqcr11) were consistent with the bioinformatics results, and their downregulation was associated with reduced cardiac function. CD86 and apoptosis-related proteins (BAX/BCL-2 and cleaved caspase-3) were markedly elevated in MI groups.ConclusionThese findings suggest that Cox5b, Ndufa2, Ndufs6, and Uqcr11 act as core regulatory molecules in immunometabolism during MI, providing new insights into its pathogenesis and diagnosis.…”

How Life Experience Shapes Cognitive Control Strategies: The Case of Air Traffic Control Training.
Published 2016-01-01“…These results indicate a training-induced change in reactive control, which is described as a transient process in charge of stimulus-driven task detection and resolution. This experience-based enhancement of reactive control strategy denotes how cognitive control and executive functions in general can be shaped by real-life training and underlines the importance of experience in explaining inter-individual variability in cognitive functioning.…”

Abstract 149: Metabolic Neuroimaging in the Assessment of Cardiovascular Risk: A Regional FDG‐PET Analysis
Published 2023-11-01“…This study analyzed regional glucose metabolism in individuals with known CVD risk factors. The detection of such metabolic changes could assist in determining the necessity and timing of vascular interventions, such as carotid endarterectomy (CEA) or carotid artery angioplasty with stenting (CAS), contributing to improved patient outcomes and reduced postoperative complications. …”

Cyanidin-3-<i>O</i>-Glucoside Mitigates Amyloid-Beta (1–42)-Induced Apoptosis in SH-SY5Y Cells by Regulating Ca2+ Homeostasis and Inhibiting Mitochondrial Dysfunction
Published 2025-04-01“…Results: We found that Cyanidin-3-<i>O</i>-glucoside could downregulate the expression of cytochrome c, caspase 9, caspase 3, and other genes and proteins, which consequently reduced the rate of apoptosis. Additionally, it could upregulate Bcl-2 gene and protein expression, downregulate Bax gene and protein expression, regulate mitochondrial membrane permeability and calcium-release channels, reduce calcium influx into mitochondria, maintain intracellular calcium ion levels, reduce intracellular levels of reactive oxygen species and increase ATP levels, maintain the mitochondrial membrane potential at a normal level, maintain normal mitochondrial functioning, and prevent apoptosis. …”
