Identifying key safety investments needed for arctic shipping via a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) approach
Published 2024-10-01“…The retreating ice coverage and reduced (ice) thickness scientifically recorded in the wider Arctic region, during the last few decades, are transforming it into a more accessible operating environment. Vessels engaged in maritime transport activities can now navigate the already established routes for more extended periods each year. …”

Differences in the referral process from general practice to resident specialists in gynaecology depending on density of specialists and patients’ socioeconomic status
Published 2023-10-01“…It is unclear whether this disparity affects gynaecological patients’ experience of the referral process and whether it differs in terms of their socioeconomic status (SES).Objective To examine gynaecological patients’ experiences of the referral process to an RSG concerning RSG density and patients’ SES.Design Cross-sectional questionnaire and registry-based study.Setting In Denmark, general practitioners (GPs) serve as gatekeepers of secondary care and are responsible for referrals to resident specialists as well as inpatient and outpatient hospital care.Subjects A total of 2917 patients who consulted an RSG participated in this study.Main outcome measurements Patients’ experiences of referral to an RSG, waiting times, involvement, and how they experienced the referral process. Results Patients who lived in the highest density RSG region were referred to an RSG more promptly after the onset of symptoms, had to visit their GP less frequently to obtain a referral to the RSG, and rarely received a gynaecological examination by their GP compared with those living in regions with lower RSG densities. …”

Influence of the use of gum Arabic or OSA starch and the drying process on the quality of the fava bean (Vicia faba) pod flour
Published 2025-06-01“…FD keeps the product at a lower temperature during drying and involves obtaining a more porous structure that AD. However, the high phenol content of the bean pod, much higher than that of vitamin C and chlorophyll (mean values 40.8, 1.8 and 0.7 mg/g db, respectively), and the significant interaction between the hydrocolloids and drying process allows us to recommend the use of GA and AD to obtain a more economical powdered ingredient, healthier, and of the highest quality. …”
