Research on deep reinforcement learning based intelligent shop scheduling method by Zihui LUO, Chengling JIANG, Liang LIU, Xiaolong ZHENG, Huadong MA

    Published 2022-03-01
“…The unprecedented prosperity of the industrial internet of things (IIoT) has opened up a new path for the traditional industrial manufacturing model.Intelligent shop scheduling is one of the key technologies to achieve the overall control and flexible production of the whole production process. It requires an effective plan with a minimum makespan to allocate multiple processes and multiple machines for production scheduling.Firstly, the shop scheduling problem was defined as a Markov decision process (MDP), and a shop scheduling model based on the pointer network was established.Secondly, the job scheduling process was regarded as a mapping from one sequence to another, and a new shop scheduling algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) was proposed.By analyzing the convergence of the model under different parameter settings, the optimal parameters were determined.Experimental results on different scales of public data sets and actual production data sets show that the proposed DRL algorithm can obtain better performances.…”

Research and Application of the Hydraulic Connection Section in Nanmujiang River Fishway at Datengxia Water Conservancy Project by FAN Suixing, JIANG Guangcan, HUANG Tianbao

    Published 2022-01-01
“…As the only fish migration channel in the Nanmujiang River and the letdown path of ecological flow required by the downstream fish spawning sites, the Nanmujiang River fishway in Datengxia has complex operating conditions and large design flow variation. In addition, there is a water level difference between the technical fishway and the imitating natural fishway, which requires a hydraulic connection section to ensure a smooth transition of flow regimes and velocities. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the hydraulic connection section in the Nanmujiang River fishway,a variety of schemes based on previous project experience are proposed, and then the preliminary design scheme is determined by studying and comparing the schemes. Finally, the final design scheme is optimized and determined through physical model tests.According to the measured data of physical model tests, the optimized design scheme meets the requirements of fish in sailing upstream, and it has been applied in the construction of the Datengxia project and passed the completion test.At present, the scheme is in the trial operation stage. This paper proposes two different types of hydraulic connection section design schemes, which are respectively suitable for small and large flow rates and can provide references for similar fishway designs.…”
