Accurate identification of oxygen desaturation status in COPD by using classifier ensemble.
Published 2025-01-01“…The accurate identification of oxygen desaturation (OD) status plays critical role in the clinic diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which is a common disease related to the lungs and respiratory tract of the human body. …”

Idiopathic Intrahepatic Cholestasis as an Unusual Presentation of Hodgkin’s Disease
Published 2015-01-01“…Herein we report the diagnosis of mixed type HL-related idiopathic intrahepatic cholestasis in a 73-year-old man presenting with jaundice, after the inguinal lymph node biopsy indicative of mixed cellular type HL and liver biopsy consistent with intrahepatic cholestasis, following several diagnostic interventions including surgery for suspected extrahepatic obstructive cholestasis. Our findings emphasize the value of early liver biopsy in the diagnostic algorithm along with consideration of HL-related idiopathic intrahepatic cholestasis as a diagnosis of exclusion in cholestatic jaundice of obscure origin.…”

Tracking of Moving Targets Through Asynchronous Measures
Published 2025-04-01“…In this work we derive a novel 3D tracking algorithm which, despite its mathematical simplicity, can efficiently track moving targets handling asynchronous arrival of the anchor measurements or obstructions of line-of-sight links and outperforming commonly used algorithms like the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and the Particle Filter (PF). …”

A systematic review on the outcome of distraction osteogenesis in TMJ ankylosis
Published 2021-10-01“…DO was used for mandibular distraction in 45 studies and for simultaneous maxillamandibular distraction in only five studies. An algorithm for use of DO in TMJa was developed. Conclusion: Although DO has proven its application in TMJ ankylosis cases, its best use is for correction of obstructive sleep apnoea. …”

The resource theory of tensor networks
Published 2024-12-01“…We show that there are transformations between entanglement structures which go beyond edge-by-edge conversions, highlighting efficiency gains of our resource theory that mirror those obtained in the search for better matrix multiplication algorithms. We also provide obstructions to the existence of such transformations by extending a variety of methods originally developed in algebraic complexity theory for obtaining complexity lower bounds. …”

A Novel Method for Recognition of Bioradiolocation Signal Breathing Patterns for Noncontact Screening of Sleep Apnea Syndrome
Published 2013-01-01“…Selection of the optimal properties of NNW includes defining the best number of hidden neurons and learning algorithm for the chosen NNW topology. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is tested on clinically verified database of BRL signals corresponding to the three classes of breathing patterns: obstructive sleep apnea (OSA); central sleep apnea (CSA); normal calm sleeping (NCS) without sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) episodes.…”
