Reconstruction of electron velocity distribution function and Gibbs entropy from electron cyclotron emission in magnetized plasmas
Published 2025-01-01“…We propose a method for reconstructing the fluctuation components of the electron velocity distribution function (EVDF), and the electron entropy, which is a functional of the fluctuation components of the EVDF, using the harmonic spectrum from pure X-mode electron cyclotron emission (ECE) in optically thin plasmas. …”

Mechanistic insights into nitrogen removal performance and electron competition with mixed electron donor supply in a biofilm electrode reactor
Published 2025-06-01“…In contrast to the sole heterotrophic denitrification in the biofilm reactor (BR), weak electric stimulation in the BER system promoted in situ hydrogen production as well as electron transport and utilization, resulting in a notable 20% improvement in NO3- removal efficiency for both influent COD/N ratios. …”

Unlocking single-atom induced electronic metal-support interactions in electrocatalytic one-electron water oxidation for wastewater purification
Published 2025-05-01“…However, its efficacy is primarily constrained by the selectivity and efficiency of hydroxyl radical (•OH) generation through one-electron water oxidation. In this study, we elucidate the mechanism of electronic metal-support interactions (EMSI) of Ni single-atoms on antimony-doped tin oxide anode (Ni/ATO) to enhance •OH production and overall water treatment efficiency. …”

Atomic-scale imaging of electronic nematicity in ferropnictides
Published 2025-07-01“…The energy-resolved conductance maps reveal a pronounced energy-dependence of the nematic order parameter that experiences a sign change at approximately 30 meV. Moreover, the electronic nematicity exhibits pronounced sensitivity to single impurities and is notably suppressed by cobalt substitution for Fe atoms, promoting optimal superconductivity when nematic fluctuations are strongest. …”

High-resolution correlative imaging in ultrafast electron microscopy
Published 2024-12-01“…In UEM, we investigate multiscale dynamics in the spatial domain ranging from micrometres to ångströms, in reciprocal space, and on timescales from microseconds to attoseconds, with an energy resolution of a few electronvolts or less. Notably, UEM has played a pivotal role in visualisation of ultrafast structural dynamics with high local selectivity, enabling the exploration of the dynamic nature of chemical bonding in non-equilibrium states and investigation of electron – photon interactions to manipulate free-electron wavefunctions. …”

Highly Stable Electronics Based on β‐Ga2O3 for Advanced Memory Applications
Published 2025-03-01“…Herein, a high‐performance hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN)/β‐Ga2O3 heterostructure junction field‐effect transistor (HJFET) is fabricated, exhibiting an off‐state current as low as ≈10 fA, a high on/off current ratio of ≈108, a low contact resistance of 5.6 Ω·mm, and an impressive field‐effect electron mobility of 156 cm2 (Vs)−1. Notably, the current h‐BN/β‐Ga2O3 HJFET exhibits outstanding thermal reliability in the ultra‐wide temperature range from 223 to 573 K, as well as long‐term environmental stability in air, which confirms its inherent capability of operation in harsh environments. …”
