Intersection-based geographical perception routing protocol in VANET by Yuqi YANG, Guoan ZHANG, Min WU

    Published 2017-01-01
“…In order to solve the problem of the communication performance of degradation, which caused by multi-intersections in city environment and no sensitivity to individual node movements,an intersection-based geographical perception routing protocol in vehicular Ad Hoc network was proposed. The network gateways select road intersections to form the backbone of the route, ensuring a high probability of communication and meeting delay and bit error rate requirements.Mathematical formula of the average delay and the average number of hops were obtained on the basis of a two-way road model.Simulation results show that the transmission delay of IGPR is smaller, the number of hops of IGPR is less, and the communication performance of IGPR is better compared with the FRGR protocols and VRR protocols.…”

Game theoretical routing protocol with fairness problem in wireless mesh networks by Wen-jiang JI, Jian-feng MA, You-liang TIAN, Zhuo MA

    Published 2012-11-01
“…Based on game theory,a routing protocol studied with irness problem was proposed. Each router had the same opportunities of Internet access no matter how far from the gateway.Based on the tree topology, the calculation of route could be distributed to every branches of the tree, which greatly reduced the load of the root and more suitable for wireless mesh networks. The simulation results show that the new protocol is more suitable for wireless mesh networks compare with AODV and HWMP,no matter in network throughput or average end-to-end delays,as far as fairness.…”

Variable Transmission Range Routing Protocol Based on Vehicle Density in VANET by Rong Cai, Guoan Zhang, Yuebo Wu

    Published 2015-03-01
“…In order to solve the problem of unstable connectivity and high bit error rate, which are caused by rapid changes in the density of vehicles on the road, while the transmission radius remained unchanged,a variable transmission range routing protocols based on vehicle density in vehicular Ad-Hoc network was proposed.According to different vehicle density, node could adjust the farthest transmission distance and reduce the transmission latency of the message, which could ensure high connection probability of the network.Based on homogeneous poisson point process model, the change conditions of transmission range with different vehicle density were deduced, and its feasible was proved.Furthermore, mathematical calculate formula of average latency was obtained according to the theoretical analysis. At last, variable transmission range routing protocol based on vehicle density and fixed transmission range routing protocol were compared by simulation. The simulated results show that the proposed protocol can be applied in actual environments, and the message can be transmitted fast from source node to destination node under the condition of high connection probability.…”

Study on distributed and dynamic resource management for delay-sensitive sensor network by Wei LIU, Jun LIU

    Published 2017-07-01
“…The delay-aware dynamic resource management problem was investigated in sensor network, with a focus on resource allocation among the sensors and power control along the time.By taking account of average delay requirements and power constraints, the considered problem was formulated into a stochastic optimization problem.Inspired by Lyapunov optimization theory, the intractable stochastic optimization problem was transformed into a tractable deterministic optimization problem, which was a mixed-integer resource management problem.By exploiting the specific problem structure, the mixed-integer resource management problem was equivalently transformed into a single variable problem, and the cooperative distributed method was present to effectively solve it with guaranteed global optimality. Finally,a dynamic resource management algorithm was proposed to solve the original stochastic optimization problem.Simulation results show the performance of the proposed dynamic algorithm and reveal that there exists a fundamental tradeoff between delay requirements and power consumption.…”
