Geographic information system-based prioritization mapping for urban search and rescue in Poblacion, Davao City by Fillmore D Masancay, Yanna Jane F Comendador, JJ Allind L Dizon, Leila Philline L Jallores

    Published 2024-09-01
“…Natural catastrophes can cause a large number of victims, and so a crisis might destabilize the entire area if the authorities' Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) operations are ineffective. Prioritization maps are a highly valuable tool in this approach since they may improve and automate the "decision-making" process by showing the most critical regions. …”

PermGuard: A Scalable Framework for Android Malware Detection Using Permission-to-Exploitation Mapping by Arvind Prasad, Shalini Chandra, Mueen Uddin, Taher Al-Shehari, Nasser A. Alsadhan, Syed Sajid Ullah

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Additionally, a new strategy using similarity-based selective training reduces the amount of data required for the training of an incremental learning-based model, focusing on the most relevant data to improve efficiency. To ensure robustness and accuracy, the model adopts a test-then-train approach, initially testing on application data to identify weaknesses and refine the training process. …”

Preparation of Curve Number Grid Map of Rawanduz River Basin in KRI Using GIS Techniques by Israa D. Ahmed, Jehan M. Fattah Sheikh Suleimany

    Published 2023-09-01
“…This technique incorporates a range of significant watershed features, such as Hydrological Soil Groups (HSG) and land use/land cover (LU/LC), to be utilized as input variables for numerous hydrologic processes. In terms of land use and hydrologic soil group combination, the lowest CN value was found to be 58 in forest areas, which corresponds to an increased ability of the soil to retain rainfall and will produce much less runoff, and the highest CN value was found to be 92 in medium-residential areas, which causes most of the rainfall to appear as runoff, with minimal losses.…”

Association mapping and identification of candidate genes for callus induction and regeneration using sorghum mature seeds by Jingyi Xu, Jingyi Xu, Lihua Wang, Lihua Wang, Yuan Liang, Yuan Liang, Qi Shen, Qi Shen, Wenmiao Tu, Wenmiao Tu, Zhengxiao Cheng, Zhengxiao Cheng, Lu Hu, Lu Hu, Yi-Hong Wang, Yi-Hong Wang, Jieqin Li, Jieqin Li

    Published 2025-04-01
“…IntroductionA whole plant can be regenerated through tissue culture from an embryogenic callus in a process referred to as plant regeneration. Regeneration ability of embryogenic callus is a quantitative trait and the main limiting factor for genetic studies in sorghum.MethodsWe evaluated 236 sorghum mini core varieties for callus induction rate, embryogenic callus rate, callus browning rate and differentiation rate and performed a multi-locus genome-wide association study (GWAS) of the four traits with 6,094,317 SNPs.ResultsWe found five mini core varieties most amenable to tissue culture manipulations: IS5667, IS24503, IS8348, IS4698, and IS5295.Furthermore, we mapped 34 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) to the four traits and identified 47 candidate genes. …”
