Plasma membrane-coated nanoparticles and membrane vesicles to orchestrate multimodal antitumor immunity
Published 2025-01-01“…Here, we hypothesized that the simultaneous input of more comprehensive signals would elicit more robust and durable effector T-cell functions. Methods We genetically engineered the leukemia cell line K562 to express BsAbs, costimulatory ligands, cytokines, and blocking antibodies against immune checkpoint molecules on the cell surface, from which we obtained plasma membrane fractions by mechanical homogenization and subsequent isolation steps. …”

Patient characteristics and pharmacologic treatment patterns in antifibrotic-treated patients with fibrosing interstitial lung diseases: real-world results from a claims database
Published 2025-05-01“…Abstract Background Antifibrotics have been approved for use in many countries, including Japan, based on the results of several phase III clinical trials in patients with IPF, SSc-ILD, and PPF, which showed slower lung function decline with antifibrotic treatment. There is a paucity of information on the real-world use of antifibrotics in clinical practice. …”

Land cover classification for Siberia leveraging diverse global land cover datasets
Published 2025-01-01“…We trained the RF classifiers with multiple land cover products to produce a more precise land cover product for Siberia. The validations showed that: (a) the generated new land cover data achieved the highest overall accuracy (85.04%) and kappa coefficient (82.62%); (b) the classifications of mixed forest (user accuracy: 97.85%) and grasses (user accuracy: 94.85%) demonstrated improvements, showing higher performance compared to most other types; and (c) by comparing the distribution of land cover across climate zones, we discovered that temperature is a critical factor throughout Siberia. …”

Potential Applicability of Air-Cooled Ladle Furnace Slag Fine Aggregate in Concrete Production
Published 2025-02-01“…Electric arc furnace oxidizing slag (EAFOS) represents 80% of the electric arc furnace slag generated. Recently, EAFOS has been utilized as high value-added functional aggregate in a growing number of cases for the construction of air-cooling technology that turns EAFOS into fine aggregate-sized particles by spraying it into the air using high-pressure compressed air. …”
