Towards accurate L4 ocean colour products: Interpolating remote sensing reflectance via DINEOF by Christian Marchese, Simone Colella, Vittorio Ernesto Brando, Maria Laura Zoffoli, Gianluca Volpe

    Published 2024-12-01
“…These approaches, however, often fail to capture anomalous events or fine-scale resolution processes, calling for more advanced methods. The Data Interpolating Empirical Orthogonal Function (DINEOF) method has proved effective in reconstructing missing OC data and capturing smaller-scale features in noisy fields. …”

Suboptimal but intact integration of Bayesian components during perceptual decision-making in autism by Laurina Fazioli, Bat-Sheva Hadad, Rachel N. Denison, Amit Yashar

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Limitations This study focuses on explicit priors in a perceptual categorization task and high-functioning adults. Thus, although the findings provide strong evidence against a general and basic alteration in prior integration in autism, they cannot rule out more specific cases of reduced prior effect – such as due to implicit prior learning, particular level of decision making (e.g., social), and level of functioning of the autistic person. …”

The Heavy‐Tailed Inverse Power Lindley Type‐I Model: Reliability Inference and Actuarial Applications by Amal S. Hassan, Diaa S. Metwally, Mohammed Elgarhy, Rokaya Elmorsy Mohamed

    Published 2025-05-01
“…The results of the study confirmed that Bayes estimates are generally more appropriate than ML estimates. Also, the highest posterior density (HPD) credible intervals outperform the confidence intervals of the ML estimates based on average interval length and coverage probability in most situations. …”

Mt or not Mt: Temporal variation in detection probability in spatial capture-recapture and occupancy models by Sollmann, Rahel

    Published 2024-01-01
“…SCR model estimates of abundance, the density-covariate coefficient β and the movement-related scale parameter of the detection function σ were robust to ignoring temporal variation in detection, with relative bias, CV and RMSE of the two models generally being within 4% of each other. …”

On k-fuzzy metric spaces with applications by Uma Devi Patel, Vineeta Chandra, Milica Savatović, Stojan Radenović

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Here a fuzzy set defined in k-fuzzy metric space is a membership function FY : X × X × (0, +∞)k -> [0; 1], that is, the fuzzy distance between two points of the set depends on more than one parameter, and then also introduced first contraction principle in this space. …”

Optimized Design of Cultural Space in Wuhan Metro: Analysis and Reflection Based on Multi-Source Data by Zhengcong Wei, Yangxue Hu, Yile Chen, Tianjia Wang

    Published 2025-06-01
“…The main findings are as follows: (1) The metro cultural space is an important window for the public to perceive the city culture, and the public in general shows positive perception of emotions: among the 16,316 data samples, 47.7% are positive comments, 17.8% are neutral comments, and 34.5% are negative comments. (2) Based on the frequency of content in the sample data for metro station exit and entrance space, metro train space, metro concourse and platform space, they are ranked as weak cultural spaces (18%), medium cultural spaces (33%), and strong cultural spaces (49%) in terms of the public’s perception of urban culture. (3) At present, there are certain deficiencies in Wuhan metro cultural space: the circulation paths in concourses and platforms are overly dominant, leaving little space for rest or interaction; the cultural symbols of metro train space are fragmented; the way of articulation between cultural and functional space in the metro station exit and entrance space is weak, and the space is single in form. (4) Wuhan metro cultural space needs to be based on locality landscape expression, functional zoning reorganization, innovative scene creation to optimize the visual symbol system and behavioral symbol system in the space, to establish a good image of the space, and to strengthen the public’s cultural identity and emotional resonance.…”
