Rapid recovery of postnivolumab vemurafenib-induced Drug Rash with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS) syndrome after tocilizumab and infliximab administration
Published 2020-05-01“…A single dose of tocilizumab was administered with an improvement of cardiocirculatory and renal function in a few hours. Because of worsening of liver function, skin lesions and mucositis, a single dose of infliximab was prescribed, and dramatic improvement was noted over the next 24 hours. …”

Development and evaluation of a non-invasive brain-spine interface using transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation
Published 2025-04-01“…However, its efficacy is limited to areas with remaining sensorimotor function. Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) creates a temporary prosthetic effect that may allow further rehabilitation-induced recovery in individuals without remaining sensorimotor function, thereby extending the therapeutic reach of motor rehabilitation to individuals with more severe injuries. …”

Prior chemotherapy deteriorates T-cell quality for CAR T-cell therapy in B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
Published 2025-04-01“…Their effectiveness thus hinges on the functionality of a patient’s own T cells. Since CAR T-cell therapy is currently only approved for advanced cancers after at least one line of chemotherapy, we evaluated the potential negative effects of prior exposure to chemotherapy on T-cell functionality. Methods We studied T cells of two B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma patient cohorts, one collected before treatment (pre-therapy) and the other after one or more (median 3) lines of chemotherapy (post-therapy). …”

Genetically Engineered Bacterial Ghosts as Vaccine Candidates Against <i>Klebsiella pneumoniae</i> Infection
Published 2025-01-01“…<b>Results:</b> In the current study, we showed that co-expression of the holin and endolysin genes from the L-413C phage elicited more rapid and efficient <i>K. pneumoniae</i> lysis than lysis mediated by only single gene <i>E</i> or the low functioning holin–endolysin system of λ phage. …”

In situ reconstruction of distal renal artery aneurysm
Published 2025-05-01“…Renal artery aneurysm (RAA) is a rare disease that occurs in 0.1 % of the general population. The risk of a rupture of RAA is generally low, about 5 %; however, it increases rapidly with the aneurysm size over 2 cm and is accompanied by a very high mortality (more than 80 %). …”

Effect of Casting Conditions on the Fracture Strength of Al-5 Mg Alloy Castings
Published 2016-01-01“…In this work, the Weibull moduli for the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and % elongation of sand cast bars produced under different casting conditions were compared as indicators of casting reliability which was expected to be a function of the oxide film content. The results showed that the use of a thin runner along with the use of filters can significantly eliminate the surface turbulence of the melt during mould filling which would lead to the avoidance of the generation and entrainment of surface oxide films and in turn produce castings with more reliable and reproducible mechanical properties compared to the castings produced using conventional running systems.…”
