Solving the Dirichlet acoustic scattering problem for a surface with added bumps using the Green's function for the original surface
Published 2002-01-01“…We solve the Dirichlet problem for acoustic scattering from a surface which has been perturbed by the addition of one or more bumps. We build the solution for the bumpy case using the Green's function for the unperturbed surface, and the solution of a local integral equation in which the integration is carried out only over the added bumps. …”

Published 2025-08-01“…We analysed the results of 523 consecutive kidney transplants (KT) performed from January 2016 to December 2023 in our center and compared the outcomes of 142 KT from uDCD maintained by abdominal normothermic regional perfusion (A-NRP) with those from 194 KT from standard-criteria brain-death donors (SCD) and 187 KT from expanded-criteria brain-death donors (ECD). Primary non-function (PNF) was similar in uDCD (16.9%) and ECD (13.4%, p = 0.460) and more common than in SCD (4.6%; p < 0.001). …”

Association between vitamin C intake and thyroid function among U.S. adults: a population-based study
Published 2024-11-01“…Additionally, we found an inverted U-shaped curve pattern in the relationship between vitamin C intake and FT4 (P for nonlinear = 0.029), while an U-shaped curve relationship was observed between vitamin C consumption and the FT3/FT4 ratio (P for nonlinear = 0.026).ConclusionThe findings of our study have illustrated a notable correlation between vitamin C intake and thyroid function. A high level of vitamin C intake is associated with a decreased in TT4 levels among American adults, and the association was more pronounced among subjects with lower alcohol consumption. …”
