Evaluating the role of AI-simulated patients compared with peer-to-peer learning models in the enhancement of medical education: is it beyond theoretical functionality?
Published 2025-06-01“…Compared with peer-to-peer learning, SIMPAT was perceived as more time-efficient, because, traditionally, one peer within a pair had to be the ‘patient actor’. …”

Co-exposure of ferruginous components of subway particles with lipopolysaccharide impairs vascular function: A comparative study with ambient particulate matter
Published 2024-12-01“…Thus, iron oxide-rich subway particulate poses more health risks than outdoor ambient particles since they can significantly impair endothelial function, particularly through gross cellular and vascular homeostatic protein damage, and induce exacerbated inflammatory responses during co-exposure. …”

Enhanced Adsorption of Mercury(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution by Carbon-Based Adsorbents Containing Cl-, S- and N-functional Groups
Published 2008-12-01“…Batch experiments to study the kinetics and equilibrium of Hg 2+ ion adsorption were performed to evaluate the efficacy of the functionalized carbon adsorbents. Sample characterizations indicated that chlorine, sulphur or nitrogen functional groups were effectively immobilized onto the activated carbon surface, thereby generating more negative surface charges favouring cation adsorption. …”

Neuroligin-3 R451C induces gain-of-function gene expression in astroglia in an astroglia-enriched brain organoid model
Published 2025-01-01“…Notably, the NLGN3 R451C astroglia demonstrate enhanced branching, indicating a more intricate morphology. Interestingly, our RNA sequencing data suggest that these mutant astroglia significantly upregulate pathways that support neural functions when compared to isogenic wild-type astroglia. …”

An Innovative Green Dust Suppressant for Dry Climate Mining Areas in a Copper–Nickel Mine: Integration of Moisture Retention and Erosion Resistance
Published 2025-03-01“…Mine ramps, serving as a critical transportation hub in underground mining activities, are beset by severe issues of dust pollution and secondary dust generation. While dust suppressants are more efficient than the commonly used sprinkling methods in mines, traditional single-function dust suppressants are inadequate for the complex application environment of mine ramps. …”

An efficient spectrum sensing of mixed kernel SVM based on sampling covariance matrix
Published 2019-11-01“…In recent years, with the blind detection algorithms were proposed, more and more blind algorithms based on sampling covariance matrix were applied to spectrum sensing. The detection threshold was an approximation, and the detection performance would be affected for this algorithms. Thus, the mixed kernel function support vector machine (SVM) efficient spectrum sensing based on sampling covariance matrix was proposed. The statistics which were maximum minimum eigenvalue (MME) and covariance absolute value (CAV) of sensing signal sampling covariance matrices were used as the feature vectors of SVM and were trained to generate a spectrum sensing classifier. The advantage of this algorithm was that it needn’t calculate the detection threshold and the extraction of features reduces size of the sample set.The genetic algorithm (GA) was used to optimize the parameters of mixed kernel function SVM algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed method has higher detection probability than MME and CAV algorithms, and has less sensing time than SVM,which has good practicability.…”
