Gradual Variation-Based Dual-Stream Deep Learning for Spatial Feature Enhancement With Dimensionality Reduction in Early Alzheimer’s Disease Detection by Najmul Hassan, Abu Saleh Musa Miah, Taro Suzuki, Jungpil Shin

    Published 2025-01-01
“…This study proposes a Gradual Variation-Based Dual-Stream Deep Learning (DL) framework for Spatial Feature Enhancement with Dimensionality Reduction to address these challenges. The method begins by converting MRI voxel data into slice images, followed by the extraction of gradual spatial variations based on the Haar Wavelet Transform (WT) to capture large-scale structural changes. …”

Can green transport policy drive urban carbon emission reduction? Evidence from pilot cities of China’s low−carbon transportation system by Jian Sun

    Published 2025-08-01
“…IntroductionAmidst the global climate crisis and the urgent need for carbon reduction, the transportation sector, a critical source of carbon emissions, has become a focal point for low-carbon transformation.MethodsThis paper investigates the impact of China’s Low-Carbon Transportation System (LCTS) pilot policy on urban carbon emissions using a difference-in-differences (DID) model and a panel dataset covering 242 Chinese cities from 2007 to 2022.ResultsWe find that the LCTS pilot policy has significantly reduced urban carbon emission intensity by an average of 17.3%, highlighting its effectiveness in promoting urban carbon reduction. …”

AuNRs-PPARγmAb Induce Targeted Adipocyte Apoptosis Through Photothermal Effects for Effective Localized Fat Reduction by Hu Y, Xiao K, Chen Z, Ou S, Sima C, Wang H, Zhang J, Zhang Z, Li X

    Published 2025-08-01
“…Hematological parameters, as well as liver and kidney function, remained unchanged, confirming the biocompatibility and fat-reducing efficacy of the treatment. Conclusion: AuNRs-PPARγmAb, when exposed to 808nm NIR laser irradiation, effectively targets and induces apoptosis in adipocytes, leading to significant fat reduction. This targeted approach offers a promising method for non-surgical, localized fat reduction. …”

Dentition Type as a Determinant of Microbial Load Reduction by Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy in Deep Dentin Caries: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis by Zahra Baghani, Malihe Karrabi, Hossein Assarzadeh

    Published 2024-12-01
“…However, considering the difference in the morphology of dentinal tubules in primary and permanent teeth, the effect of this treatment may be different on the two dentition types.Purpose: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the effect of type of dentition as a determinant of microbial load reduction by aPDT in deep dentin caries.Materials and Method: An electronic search was conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane, Medline, and Embase databases, from the first record until April 30, 2022. …”

Vagus nerve stimulation: Novel concept for the treatment of glioblastoma and solid cancers by cytokine (interleukin-6) reduction, attenuating the SASP, enhancing tumor immunity by Steven Brem

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Genomic analysis of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) and preclinical models of glioma suggest that an exciting approach would entail reprogramming of the glioma microenvironment, attenuating the pro-inflammatory, pro-tumorigenic cytokines of the SASP, especially interleukin-6 (IL-6). …”
