Spatial variability and convergence of the coupled relationship between agricultural carbon emission reduction and rural revitalization in China by Hongli Yang, Kai Feng

    Published 2025-08-01
“…IntroductionPromoting the coupled and coordinated development of agricultural carbon emission reduction and rural revitalization is a key link and an inevitable choice to achieve the goal of “double carbon” and sustainable rural development.MethodsThis study takes 31 provinces (cities) in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) from 2010 to 2022 as the research object, and adopts the entropy value method, the coupling coordination degree model, the Gini coefficient and its decomposition, and the convergence degree model, etc., to analyze the level of coupling coordination between agricultural carbon emission reduction and rural revitalization in terms of spatial and temporal development characteristics, regional differences and convergence. Results and discussionThe study found that: (1) the coupling and coordination level of agricultural carbon emission reduction and rural revitalization at the national level and in the four major regions continues to improve, and the type of coupled coordination in the provinces is dominated by “primary coordination” in 2022; (2) inter-regional differences are the main source of differences in the coupling and coordination level of agricultural carbon emission reduction and rural revitalization in China; (3) There is no σ-convergence in the coupled coordination level of agricultural carbon emission reduction and rural revitalization at the national level, but there are significant absolute β-convergence and conditional β-convergence, and there are some differences in the regional convergence characteristics, and there is obvious regional heterogeneity in the development of external factors on the coupled coordination level in different regions. …”

Does the reform of the phased reduction of the pension insurance contribution rate benefit the labor income share of enterprises? by Chengqiang Dou, Ying Liu

    Published 2025-01-01
“…IntroductionThis paper develops a theoretical model to clarify the mechanisms by which pension insurance contribution rate affects the labor income share of enterprises and conducts empirical validation.MethodsUtilizing a difference-in-differences approach, this paper analyzes data from China’s A-share listed companies from 2013 to 2018 to examine the impact and mechanism of the phased reduction of the pension insurance contribution rate on enterprise labor income share. Results and discussionThe phased reduction of the pension insurance contribution rate is beneficial for increasing enterprise labor income shares, with significant variations observed across regions and enterprise ownership types. …”

Multi-objective Optimal Scheduling of Water-Carbon in Cascade Reservoirs during Impoundment for Carbon Emission Reduction by ZHOU Yan-lai, NING Zhi-hao, HE Jun-tao

    Published 2025-06-01
“…[Objectives] This study aims to optimize water-carbon coordinated scheduling during reservoir impoundment to improve power generation and storage rate, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in reservoir operation. [Methods] Given that current studies on cascade reservoir impoundment scheduling have not yet incorporated carbon reduction objectives, this study proposed a multi-objective water-carbon scheduling model for cascade reservoirs during impoundment period based on the carbon emission factor method. An early storage strategy for cascade reservoirs was developed, and three objectives—minimizing flood control risk, maximizing power generation, and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions—were established. The Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm Ⅱ (NSGA-Ⅱ) was employed to derive optimal scheduling schemes for the impoundment period.…”
