Improved CMA-FSE blind equalization algorithm for wireless ultraviolet communication by Taifei ZHAO, Longfei LIU, Jing WANG, Liyang YANG

    Published 2019-03-01
“…There are serious intersymbol interference (ISI) and signal attenuation in wireless ultraviolet communication system.Aiming at this problem,an improved constant modulus fractionally spaced equalizer (CMA-FSE) based on signal-to-noise (SNR) estimation was proposed. The algorithm combined the fractionally spaced equalizer (FSE) and constant modulus algorithm (CMA) for blind equalization of wireless ultraviolet channels. The input SNR was measured by the mean square value of the received signal, and it was used to determine the best iterative step to ensure the convergence of the equalization algorithm.Simulation results show that the improved CMA-FSE algorithm can converge rapidly under various SNR,and it can effectively suppress ISI and improve the BER performance of the system.Compared with the existing algorithms, the improved algorithm is more useful in channel tracking and noise suppression.…”

AN IMPROVED ALGORITHM FOR TIME DOMAIN AVERAGING BASED ON FRACTIONAL DELAY FILTERING by ZOU JinChun, QU Lei, DAI GuangHao, WANG XiuFeng, SHEN YuDi

    Published 2015-01-01
“…For reducing the influence of truncation error on the accuracy of time domain averaging( TDA) induced by noninteger-period sampling,an improved algorithm of TDA based on fractional delay filtering( FDF) is presented. On the basis of analyzing the disadvantages of current methods of TDA and the characteristics of FDF,a presently improved method of signal truncation was used in the method to avoid the accumulation of truncation error and obtain a delay factor on each of the truncated signals, the reconstruction and resample for the truncated signals were implemented with FDF,and finally the arithmetic mean were computed after all of the truncated signals were added. The theoretical analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the method which fully makes using of the advantages of FDF on the change of delay factor, apparently reduces the truncation error of signals with non-integer-period sampling, and could obviously improve the accuracy of TDA without key-phase signal.…”

Sparse adaptive constant blind equalization algorithm for sparse multipath channel by Si-yang MA, Hua PENG, Bin WANG

    Published 2017-01-01
“…In order to improve the convergence rate of the blind equalizer for sparse multipath channel,a novel blind equalization approach called l0-norm constraint proportionate normalized least mean square constant algorithm was proposed for M-order phase-shift keying (MPSK) signal.Based on the constant modulus characteristics of MPSK signal and the sparse property of equalizer,a new blind equalization cost function with the l0-norm penalty on the equalizer tap coefficients was firstly constructed. Then the update formula of the tap coefficients was derived according to the gradient descent algorithm. Moreover, the iteration step was updated by drawing upon the normalized proportionate factor. The algorithm not only assigned step sizes proportionate to the magnitude of the current individual tap weights, but also attracted the inactive taps to zero adaptively.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing blind equalization algorithms for sparse channel in reducing ISI and improving convergence rate.…”

Research and application of adaptive algorithm for 5G voice quality evaluation by Yuxiang ZHAO, Yaxin JI, Li YU, Tianyi ZHOU, Hang ZHOU

    Published 2023-11-01
“…MOS (mean opinion score) is usually used to evaluate voice quality in the industry. It can objectively and fairly reflect the user’s voice service perception. It is difficult and costly to obtain data by road test, so a trained supervised learning model is usually used to predict the MOS score. However, the operator voice data has the characteristics of low percentage of MOS low score data and time sequence change, which affects the accuracy and generalization of the model prediction.Based on the study of existing data acquisition systems and machine learning algorithms of operators, an adaptive algorithm for MOS evaluation of 5G speech quality was proposed.Firstly, POLQA algorithm test equipment based on full parameter evaluation obtained training data to ensure the accuracy of training samples.Secondly, by means of data enhancement, the difficulty of acquiring poor quality samples was solved. Finally, based on the adaptive algorithm selection, the optimal MOS prediction model could be selected periodically and dynamically according to the timing changes of data features, so as to achieve large-scale and intelligent evaluation of 5G voice quality.…”
