Characteristics and Classified Governance Strategies of Medium and Small Estuaries in Guangdong by CHEN Ying, WANG Shijun, HE Yong

    Published 2022-01-01
“…This paper adopted the methods of field investigation, remote sensing analysis, and sedimentary dynamic analysis, summarized the characteristics of medium and small estuaries in Guangdong Province, and analyzed the main problems in the ecological governance of the estuaries. In addition, the paper studied typical experience in governing medium and small estuaries both in China and abroad and proposed classified governance strategies for medium and small estuaries. The results show that:①Medium and small estuaries in Guangdong Province are mainly divided into sandbar-lagoon estuaries, tidal channel estuaries, and drowned valley estuaries.Specifically,sandbar-lagoon estuaries are widely distributed.Tidal channel estuaries are mainly distributed in the west of Guangdong Province, and drowned valley estuaries can be found in the Leizhou Peninsula, the east coast of Shenzhen, and the east of Huizhou.②Medium and small estuaries face some problems, such as imperfect flood control systems, fragmented management, ineffective regional ecosystem service functions, and defective policies and systems for the construction of Lingnan water culture and the excavation, protection, and utilization of water heritage.③The paper proposed overall strategies of coordinated land and maritime development and systematic governance for medium and small estuaries as well as classified governance strategies for different estuaries and rivers, and the research results can provide some reference for the governance of medium and small estuaries in Guangdong Province.…”

Heterogeneous wireless sensor network routing protocol based on simulated annealing algorithm and modified grey wolf optimizer by Xiaoqiang ZHAO, Shaoya REN, Yongzhi ZHAI, Heng QUAN, Ting YANG

    Published 2021-06-01
“…It’s one of the main goals of the heterogeneous wireless sensor network (HWSN) to extend the network lifecycle by reasonably utilizing the heterogeneity of node energy. Therefore, according to the heterogeneity of node energy, a routing protocol (SA-MGWO) for HWSN based on simulated annealing (SA) algorithm and modified grey wolf optimizer (GWO) was proposed.Firstly, the appropriate initial clusters were selected by dening different tness functions for heterogeneous energy nodes.Secondly, The tness values of nodes were calculated and treated as initial weights in the GWO.At the same time, the weights were updated dynamically according to the distance between the wolves and their prey and coefficient vectors to improve the GWO’s optimization ability. Finally, simulated annealing algorithm was used to ensure the selection of optimal cluster set in heterogeneous networks.Compared with stable election protocol (SEP), distribute energy efficient clustering (DEEC), modified stable election protocol (M-SEP), and fitness value based improved grey wolf optimizer (FIGWO) protocols, the experimental results indicate that the network lifecycle of the SA-MGWO protocol improves by 53.1%, 31.9%, 46.5% and 27.0% respectively.…”
