Light curve analysis of W-UMa type binary systems RZ UMi, OQ UMa, LP UMa by Grozdanović M., Đurašević G.

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The fundamental parameters of these systems were derived including the mass ratios determined using the q-search method. Hypotheses involving active surface regions, such as dark spots on the primary, and secondary components or bright spots in the neck region due to magnetic activity, or continuous mass transfer between components, were examined to explain the varying amplitudes of maxima and nearly equal minima depths in the light curves. …”

Ductility, bending and wrapping ability relationship in wires made of electromagnetically cast ultrafine grained Al–0.5Fe and Al–0.5Fe–0.3Cu alloys by Andrey E. Medvedev, Olga O. Zhukova, Darya D. Fedotova, Elvira D. Khafizova, Mikhail M. Motkov, Maxim Yu. Murashkin

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Bending and wrapping capability is determined by the industrial standards while no attempts were made to study the relation between them and ductility of the Al alloys wires, paying even less attention to the ultrafine-grained Al-based wires, produced by electromagnetic casting and equal-channel angular pressing. In this study alloys with two different chemical compositions (Al–0.5 wt. % Fe and Al–0.5 wt. % Fe–0.3 wt. % Cu) and two different casting methods (casting into electromagnetic mold and continuous casting and rolling) were used. …”

RESEARCH ON THE FITTING CLEARANCE BETWEEN FLANGE BORE AND SHAFT CONSIDERING MULTI-ERRORS COUPLING by NI WeiHua, JIANG XiaoHui

    Published 2018-01-01
“…The mating state between a flange bore and a shaft and the position error for a flange shaft in a bore has an important influence on the assembly accuracy of precision products. In view of the fact that three-dimensional cylindricity was usually ignored in existing researches,a contact method was developed, which was based on equal vector judgment criterion and measured profile data of the parts. It can effectively determine the actual fitting clearance between bore and shaft taking threedimensional cylindricity errors into account. The effects of the cylindricity error and the number of lobes on the fitting clearance were analyzed in detail. The results indicate that the cylindricity error has significant influence on the actual fitting clearance.By the principal of error composition and neutralization, the actual fitting clearance between a flange bore and shaft was obtained considering the coupling of dimension errors,three-dimensional cylindricity errors and perpendicular errors. It is effective to preanalyze the position accuracy for a flange shaft in a flange bore. Then it can provide guidance for subsequent assembly processes to increase assembly efficiency and improve assembly accuracy of precision products before they are assembled.…”

The Effect of Plate Discretization on Accuracy of the Sound Radiation Efficiency Measurements by Karolina KOLBER, Anna SNAKOWSKA, Michał KOZUPA

    Published 2014-09-01
“…This paper deals with the problem of the effect of discretization level and certain other parameters characterizing the measurement setup on accuracy of the process of determination of the sound radiation efficiency by means of the Discrete Calculation Method (DCM) described by HASHIMOTO (2001). The idea behind DCM consists in virtual division of an examined sound radiating structure into rectangular elements each of which is further assumed to contribute to the total radiation effect in the same way as a rigid circular piston having the surface area equal to this of the corresponding virtual element and vibrating in an infinite rigid baffle. …”
