Improving plant-available water estimation using model averaging of national soil water models by Brendan P. Malone, Ross D. Searle, Siyuan Tian, Thomas F. Bishop, Yi Yu, Yi Yu, Yi Yu

    Published 2025-08-01
“…This study investigates a temporally dynamic implementation of the Granger–Ramanathan (GRA) model averaging approach to improve in situ and spatial estimates of plant-available water (PAW) in southeastern and southern Australia.MethodsTwo hypotheses were tested: (1) that GRA model averaging improves point-scale PAW predictions compared to individual models, and (2) that spatially scaling GRA coefficients produces more accurate PAW maps than equal-weight averaging. …”

An artificial intelligence and machine learning-driven CFD simulation for optimizing thermal performance of blood-integrated ternary nano-fluid by Mohib Hussain, Du Lin, Hassan Waqas, Qasem M. Al-Mdallal

    Published 2025-12-01
“…Conclusively, the proposed investigation provides insightful AI, ML and CFD-proposed analysis of blood-based nano-particles which can improve imaging techniques, provide tailored drug delivery, reduce hyperthermia, improve blood flow, and show potential for application in medicine.Highlights Artificial intelligence and machine learning-based CFD simulation of the blood-mediated tri-hybrid nano-fluid flow is presented. An improved finite difference scheme (the Keller-Box method), is utilized to numerically evaluate the problem. The LMA-ANN forecasts with an absolute error range of [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text] relative to the actual data.Regression scores equal to 1 indicate a strong correlation between forecasts and actual data.…”

Genetic Analysis of Days Open in Moroccan Holstein Using Different Models to Account for Censored Data by Narjice Chafai, Bouabid Badaoui

    Published 2024-12-01
“…The genetic parameters and breeding values of DO were computed using three different methods: a linear model where all censored records were omitted (LM), a penalty method in which a constant equal to one estrus cycle in cattle was added to the maximum value of DO in each contemporary group to impute the censored records (PLM), and a bivariate threshold model with a penalty (PTM). …”

On Numerical Characteristics of а Simplex and their Estimates by M. V. Nevskii, A. Yu. Ukhalov

    Published 2016-10-01
“…It is known that, for each \(n\),$$\xi_n\leq \frac{n+1}{2}\left(\theta_n-1\right)+1,$$and for \(n=1,2,3,7\) here we have an equality.Using computer methods we obtain the result \(\theta_4=\frac{7}{3}\).Hence, the minimal \(n\) such that the above inequality has a strong formis equal to 4.%, a principal architecture of common purpose CPU and its main components are discussed, CPUs evolution is considered and drawbacks that prevent future CPU development are mentioned. …”

How to assess multimorbidity: a systematic review by Li Yao, Li Yao, Qiaoxing Li, Yan Liu, Qinqin Li, Tingrui Wang, Zihan Zhou, Jiajia Yin

    Published 2025-03-01
“…The search process adhered to the 2020 PRISMA guidelines for systematic review.Results54 literatures meeting the criteria were included, involving 54 evaluation methods of multiple chronic diseases. It can be divided into four categories: (1) assessment based on equal weight of disease count and disease severity; (2) based on physiological and psychological health status assessment; (3) evaluation based on drug use; (4) natural language processing evaluation system.ConclusionAttention should be paid to the assessment of patients with multiple chronic diseases, and standardized and unified assessment methods should be developed in the future to expand the coverage of diseases and deepen the depth of assessment, so as to provide more comprehensive and accurate health management for the growing number of patients with multiple chronic diseases.Without patient or public contributionThis systematic review is primarily based on the comprehensive analysis of published literature and did not involve new data collection or direct participation of patients, hence there was no direct contribution from patients or the public.Systematic review registrationhttps://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero/, CRD42024530474.…”
