Prevention strategies against academic burnout: the perspective of Romanian health sciences students in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic by Ovidiu Popa-Velea, Ioana Ruxandra Stoian-Bǎlǎşoiu, Ioana Ruxandra Stoian-Bǎlǎşoiu, Alexandra Mihai, Alexandra Ioana Mihǎilescu, Alexandra Ioana Mihǎilescu, Liliana Veronica Diaconescu

Published 2025-04-01
“…This study aimed to investigate academic burnout and the perception of its prevention strategies among Romanian health sciences students.MethodsThree hundred and five health sciences students (from General Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, and Midwifery and Nursing) (36 men, 269 women, mean age 21.9, standard deviation 1.911) self-rated their burnout using the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) and a visual analog scale, and answered a survey with open and closed questions about the most effective coping strategies to prevent burnout.ResultsAbove average scores (mean = 3.05; SD = 0.67) on burnout were met (with the highest scores on exhaustion and psychological distress and the lowest on mental distance and psychosomatic symptoms). …”

Consistency of EFT illuminated via relative entropy: a case study in scalar field theory by Daiki Ueda, Kazuhiro Tatsumi

Published 2025-06-01
“…Abstract Relative entropy is a non-negative quantity and offers a powerful means of achieving a unified understanding of fundamental properties in physics, including the second law of thermodynamics and positivity bounds on effective field theories (EFTs). We analyze the relative entropy in scalar field theories and show that the non-negativity of relative entropy is potentially violated in perturbative calculations based on operator and loop expansions. …”

Synergistic Corrosion Inhibition Effect of AMT/Na2MoO4/EDTA Organic-Inorganic System on Rusted Bronzes by JIANG Lan, HE Tianyi, DONG Wenqiang, XIA Qixing

Published 2025-01-01
“…In order to improve the corrosion resistance of rusted bronze ware,2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (AMT),sodium molybdate (Na2MoO4) and disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (C10H14N2Na2O8, EDTA) were utilized to perform corrosion inhibition treatment on rusted bronze samples. The effect of corrosion inhibitors on the corrosion resistance of rusted bronzes was studied through SEM, XRD, infrared spectrum and electrochemical methods, and the synergistic corrosion inhibition mechanism on the rusted layer of bronze ware were explored. Results showed that the main components of the rusted bronzes were harmful rusts such as CuCl, Cu2(OH)3Cl, and the macroscopic appearance was light green. After AMT/Na2MoO4/EDTA corrosion inhibition treatment, the macroscopic color of the rust layer remained basically unchanged, the roughness decreased, and the microstructure became denser. In addition, the corrosion resistance of samples after corrosion inhibition treatment was greatly improved, with a decrease of 1~2 orders of magnitude in corrosion current density. The composite treatment effect of AMT and Na2MoO4 prevented the continuous corrosion of rusted bronze samples.EDTA could remove unstable components in rusted bronzes, improve the overall density of the rust layer, and thereby enhance the corrosion-inhibition effect on the rusted bronzes effectively.…”

Combined effect of compressing fresh concrete and curing regime on bonding performance of high strength repair mortar by Parisa Bahri, Mahmoud Naderi

Published 2024-11-01
“…It is worth mentioning that the bonding strength between HSRM and substrate HSC without curing was highly affected by the duration of pressure application compared to the three investigated curing methods. The wet sack curing method was found to be the most effective for enhancing the degree of hydration and increasing the failure torsional shear stress of compressed HSRM specimens.…”
