Effects of Coconut Exocarp Flavonoid and EDTA-2Na on Aldehyde Generation During Pan-Frying Processing of Squid (<i>Dsidicus gigas</i>) by Xinwen Wang, Hongping Lin, Mantong Zhao, Yuehan Lu, Guanghua Xia, Zhongyuan Liu

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Results indicated that during pan-frying, the peroxide value, thiobarbituric acid value, and total oxidation value increased significantly, while the contents of EPA and DHA decreased significantly, and the concentrations of most aldehydes increased in a time- and temperature-dependent pattern. …”

Coupled Climate Models Systematically Underestimate Radiation Response to Surface Warming by Dirk Olonscheck, Maria Rugenstein

    Published 2024-03-01
“…This response bias stems from the models' inability to reproduce the observed large‐scale surface warming pattern and from errors in the atmospheric physics affecting short‐ and longwave radiation. …”

Analysis of PM2.5 Pollution Transport Characteristics and Potential Sources in Four Chinese Megacities During 2022: Seasonal Variations by Kun Mao, Yuan Yao, Kun Wang, Chen Liu, Guangmin Tang, Shumin Feng, Yue Shen, Anhua Ju, Hao Zhou, Zhiyu Li

    Published 2024-12-01
“…The result indicates that: (1) the proposed method outperformed Kriging, inverse distance weighting (IDW), and HASM, with coefficient of determination values ranging from 0.91 to 0.94, and root mean square error values ranging from 1.98 to 2.43 µg/m3, respectively; (2) all cities show a similar seasonal pattern, with PM2.5 concentrations highest in winter, followed by spring, autumn, and summer; Beijing has higher concentrations in the south, Shanghai and Xi’an in the west, and Chengdu in central urban areas, decreasing toward the rural area; (3) potential source contribution function and concentration weighted trajectory analysis indicate that Beijing’s main potential PM2.5 sources are in Hebei Province (during winter, spring, and autumn), Shanghai’s are in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea, Xi’an’s are in Southern Shaanxi Province, and Chengdu’s are in Northeastern and Southern Sichuan Province, with all cities experiencing higher impacts in winter; (4) there is a negative correlation between precipitation, air temperature, and seasonal PM2.5 levels, with anthropogenic emissions sources such as industry combustion, power plants, residential combustion, and transportation significantly impact on seasonal PM2.5 pollution.…”

A Retrospective Analysis Comparing the Dosimetric Parameters of Two Rectum-Sparing Techniques During Intracavitary Brachytherapy with Tandem-Ring Applicators for Cervical Cancer by Vats S, Thakur S, Gupta M, Kumar V, Chandrakant L, Negi M, Sharma P, Fotedar V, Thakur P, Tuli D, Vias P, Sharma J, Negi A, Kaushal S, Upadhyay M, Negi N, Sharma A, Azad A, Parihar N, Verma D

    Published 2025-06-01
“…The paper compares the modified technique with the conventional technique of using RR alone on the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements-38 (ICRU-38) rectum and bladder point doses. Methods: Between January 2021 and August 2022, 41 cancer patients received at least one ICBT fraction with the conventional and at least one with the modified technique for rectum separation using the same applicator set and loading pattern. The remaining ICBT fractions were done using that technique, which gave the best dosimetric parameters during previous fractions in that particular patient. Results: Out of the 111 ICBT fractions utilizing TR applicators, 44 fractions done with the conventional technique constitute conventional group, whereas 67 fractions with the modified technique constitute the modified group. …”
