Research and Analysis of the Causes of White Stripe Defects in the Anodizing Process of 1100 Aluminum Plates by YANG Shuyu, ZHU Ranran, CHEN Yunan, QIAN Weifeng, LI Xiulei, ZHANG Xi, HAN Yi

    Published 2025-01-01
“…In order to investigate the causes of white stripe defects on the surface of 1100 aluminum plates during the anodizing process, chemical composition analysis, macroscopic morphology analysis, surface roughness analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis were conducted to study the white stripe defects on the surface of the anodized 1100 aluminum plates. Results showed that the types, quantities and area fractions of AlFeSi phases in the white stripe defect areas were fewer than those in the normal areas. After anodizing fewer pits and corrosion holes caused by the AlFeSi phases were found in the white stripe defect areas compared to the normal areas. The surface roughness was also smaller in the defect areas than in the normal areas, which led to less diffuse reflection under natural light in the white stripe defect areas than in the normal areas, making them appear brighter and whiter compared to the normal areas.…”

A proposal for analyzing the inflammatory and remodeling processes of mucosa in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis through MRI by Débora de Carvalho Garcez, Miguel Soares Tepedino, Debora Petrungaro Migueis, Pedro Miño Vianna, Andrea Santos Dumont Costacurta, Elyzabeth Avvad Portari, Alexandre Malta da Costa Messeder, Richard Louis Voegels, Alexandre Coelho Boggi, Reginaldo Raimundo Fujita, Andrew Thamboo, Rogério Pezato

    Published 2024-11-01
“…The present study aims to evaluate the ability of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to depict and characterize the remodeling process in patients with CRSwNP. Methods: 30 patients that met clinical diagnostic criteria for CRSwNP, without previous history of rhinosinusitis surgery were submitted to MRI scan (conventional, diffusion-weighted and DCE MRI) and compared with polyp tissue histological findings, IL-6 concentrations in the tissue and eosinophil count in the blood. …”
