Leaf water uptake strategy of plants in the arid and semi-arid region of Ningxia by CHEN Lin, YANG Xinguo, SONG Naiping, YANG Mingxiu, XIAO Xupei, WANG Xing

    Published 2013-09-01
“…Our objective was to investigate whether the plant leaf can uptake the rainfall that can not be absorbed by plant roots, and to understand leaf water uptake strategy, the relationship between leaf water uptake capability and plant ecological functional types in the arid and semi-arid region of Ningxia. The leaf water uptake content (LWUC), percentage increase in leaf water content (RW), chlorophyll content (ChlC), leaf water saturation deficit (WSD), specific leaf area (SLA) and leaf dry matter content (LDMC) of 50 plants were measured, and patterns of leaf traits were investigated to detect their difference among functional groups and relationships between each trait. …”

Effects of drought stress on leaf photosynthetic physiological charateristics in sweet cherry seedlings grafted on four different rootstocks by SUN Xu-ke, YU Ke-da, FU Li-na, MENG Xiang-li, GUO Wei-dong, CHEN Wen-rong

    Published 2012-09-01
“…Under drought stress, the chloroplast lamellar structures were disordered in the leaves of Laiyangaiying, Daqingye and Colt, in which the chloroplast was swollen and the fine structure was deformed, and the chloroplast matrix zone expanded and the lamellae structure became loose; however, the chloroplast ultrastructures were relatively intact in leaves of Benxishanying. Through membership function analysis based on the 10 photosynthetic parameters, the drought resistance capacity of the four cherry rootstocks was in descending order as follows: Benxishanying, Laiyangaiying, Daqingye and Colt. These results above indicate that Benxishanying, as a relatively drought tolerant rootstock, is a promising choice for sweet cherry cultivated in arid and semi-arid areas.…”

COMPLEXITY IN A COURNOT DUOPOLY GAME WITH DIFFERENTIATED GOODS BETWEEN SEMI-PUBLIC AND PRIVATE FIRMS by Georges SARAFOPOULOS, Kosmas PAPADOPOULOS

    Published 2021-10-01
“…In this paper we analyze the dynamics of a nonlinear Cournot-type duopoly game with differentiated goods for two bounded rational players with different objective functions. Specifically, the first player is a semi-public company and cares about a percentage of the social welfare and the second player is a private company which cares only about its own profit maximization. …”

Time-Dependent Multi-Center Semi-Open Heterogeneous Fleet Path Optimization and Charging Strategy by Tingxin Wen, Haoting Meng

    Published 2025-03-01
“…To address the challenges of distribution cost and efficiency in electric vehicle (EV) logistics, this study proposes a time-dependent, multi-center, semi-open heterogeneous fleet model. The model incorporates a nonlinear power consumption measurement framework that accounts for vehicle parameters and road impedance, alongside an objective function designed to minimize the total cost, which includes fixed vehicle costs, driving costs, power consumption costs, and time window penalty costs. …”
