School-based screening for childhood anxiety problems and intervention delivery: a codesign approach
Published 2022-06-01“…This article is a process-based account of how we used codesign to develop a primary school-based screening and intervention programme for child anxiety problems.Design Codesign.Setting UK primary schools.Participants Data were collected from year 4 children (aged 8–9 years), parents, school staff and mental health practitioners. Results We report how the developed programme was experienced and perceived by a range of users, including parents, children, school staff and mental health practitioners, as well as how the programme was adapted following user feedback. Conclusions We reflect on the mitigation techniques we employed, the lessons learnt from the codesign process and give recommendations that may inform the development and implementation of future school-based screening and intervention programmes.…”

Ecological and evolutionary consequences of ploidy-driven trait variation: insights from Saxifraga oppositifolia L.
Published 2025-01-01“…Our results support that Svalbard is a mixed-ploidy contact zone, where ploidy is strongly associated with certain traits, including growth form, leaf mass area, flower investment, seed production and habitat. Autopolyploidy has significantly influenced both ecology and evolution of S. oppositifolia and needs to be accounted for when autopolyploids are used as a study species or evaluated for management purposes. …”

Beneficial effect of combinational methylprednisolone and remdesivir in hamster model of SARS-CoV-2 infection
Published 2021-01-01“…Effective treatments for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are urgently needed. Dexamethasone has been shown to confer survival benefits to certain groups of hospitalized patients, but whether glucocorticoids such as dexamethasone and methylprednisolone should be used together with antivirals to prevent a boost of SARS-CoV-2 replication remains to be determined. …”

Cardiometabolic and anxiogenic consequences of chronic social defeat stress in male mice
Published 2025-09-01“…Finally, the results of heart rate variability, spontaneous baroreflex sensitivity and adrenal transcriptome analyses were consistent with CSDS-induced autonomic dysfunction, effects that may contribute to the hypertension observed. Collectively, these data suggest that CSDS may be useful for modeling hypertension induced by chronic social stress, thereby enabling us to better understand the mechanisms that contribute to stress-induced cardiometabolic disease.…”
