Using sequence analysis to visualize exposure to pregnancy in the postpartum period by Dana Sarnak, Linnea Zimmerman, Wenxuan Huang, Alison Gemmill

Published 2025-07-01
“…OBJECTIVE: We implement sequence and cluster analyses to generate new insights about exposure to pregnancy during the postpartum period using unique longitudinal data in a low-resource setting. METHODS: We used population-based data from a sample of 1,935 Ethiopian women who provided reports on factors influencing exposure to pregnancy in the year following childbirth. …”

A discovery strategy for APT anomaly based on homologous behavior analysis by Yihan YU, Yu FU, Xiaoping WU, Hongcheng LI

Published 2016-01-01
“…As APT(advanced persistent threat)attacks are increasingly frequently, higher requirements for the detection of APT attacks were proposed. It was an effective method to early discover the attack behavior of APT based on homologous behavior analysis.Aiming at the problem of low efficiency of data authentication caused by excessive data, the historical behavior database with data label technology was established and the database was stored in the cloud.Relying on the Hadoop platform and the aggregate computing ability of MapReduce and the pseudorandom permutation technique, the whole traffic parallel detection of the network was realized. In order to determine whether there was a APT attack behavior, the detection of APT attacks was implemented by comparing the data labels in the database.Test results show that the proposed method can detect the abnormal behavior of APT from the network as soon as possibleand improve the efficiency of the whole data flow detection.…”

Incidence of eclampsia and related complications across 10 low- and middle-resource geographical regions: Secondary analysis of a cluster randomised controlled trial. by Nicola Vousden, Elodie Lawley, Paul T Seed, Muchabayiwa Francis Gidiri, Shivaprasad Goudar, Jane Sandall, Lucy C Chappell, Andrew H Shennan, CRADLE Trial Collaborative Group

Published 2019-03-01
“…There was no detectable association between magnesium sulfate availability and the rate of eclampsia across sites (p = 0.12). This analysis may have been influenced by the selection of predominantly urban and peri-urban settings, and by collection of only monthly data on availability of magnesium sulfate, and is limited by the lack of demographic data in the population of women delivering in the trial areas.…”

Descriptive analysis to assess seasonal patterns of COVID-19 and influenza in low-income and middle-income countries in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America by Moe H Kyaw, Venediktos Kapetanakis, Julia Regazzini Spinardi, Oladayo Jagun, Conrado Franco Villalobos, Ruth Sharf-Williams, Benjamin Yarnoff

Published 2024-01-01
“…The objective of this study was to provide more evidence to understand the circulation of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19, in an endemic scenario to guide potential preventive strategies.Design In this study, a descriptive analysis was undertaken to describe seasonality trends and/or overlap between COVID-19 and influenza in 12 low-income and middle-income countries using Our World in Data and FluMart data sources. …”

What are the determinants of variation in caretaker satisfaction with sick child consultations? A cross-sectional analysis in five low-income and middle-income countries by Margaret E Kruk, Hwa-Young Lee, Anne-Marie Turcotte-Tremblay

Published 2023-12-01
“…Objectives The objective of this study was to explore determinants of variation in overall caretaker satisfaction with curative care for sick children under the age of 5 in five low-income and middle-income countries.Design A pooled cross-sectional analysis was conducted using data from the Service Provision Assessment.Setting We used data collected in five countries (Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Malawi and Tanzania) between 2013 and 2018.Participants Respondents were 13 149 caretakers of children under the age of 5 who consulted for a sick child visit.Primary outcomes measured The outcome variable was whether the child’s caretaker was very satisfied versus more or less satisfied or not satisfied overall. …”

Published 2024-12-01
“…However, the results show a low validation value of petrophysics parameters, such as effective porosity and water saturation, when compared to the DST data, so a multimineral analysis is carried out to increase the validation value of the petrophysical parameters. …”

Low-order non-spatial effects dominate second-order spatial effects in the texture quantifier analysis of 18F-FDG-PET images. by Frank J Brooks, Perry W Grigsby

Published 2015-01-01
“…We then analyzed the quantifiers computed for FIGOIIb cervical cancers via receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and via contingency table analysis of detrended quantifier values.
Results
We found that image texture quantifiers depend strongly on low-effects such as tumor volume and SUV distribution. …”
