Discovering the backbone network with a novel designed ant colony algorithm by Fang LYU, Jun BAI, Junheng HUANG, Bailing WANG

    Published 2020-11-01
“…Forthe problem that in interactive network, the illegal and abnormal behaviors were becoming more hidden, moreover, the complex relation in real interactive network heightens the difficulty of detecting anomalous entities,an ant colony model was proposed for extracting the backbone network from the complex interactive network. The novel model simulated the relationships among entities based on the theory of path optimization, reduced the network size after quantifying the significance of each flow of information.Firstly,a strategy of initial location selection was proposed taking advantage of network centrality.Secondly,a novel path transfer mechanism was devised for the ant colony to fit the flow behavior of entities. Finally,an adaptive and dynamic pheromone update mechanism was designed for guiding the optimization of information flows. The experimental results show that the proposed model is superior to the traditional ant colony algorithm in both solving quality and solving performance, and has better coverage and accuracy than the greedy algorithm.…”

Constant modulus algorithm for blind equalization under impulsive noise environments by GUO Ying1, QIU Tian-shuang1, TANG Hong1, PARK Yong-wan2

    Published 2009-01-01
“…The presence of α stable distributed ambient channel noise in wireless systems can degrade the per-formance of existing constamt modulus(CM) equalizers. The problem of blind equalization in noisy communication channels was investigated by addressing the negative effects of heavy-tailed noise to the original constant modulus algorithm based on a stochastic gradient descent(SGD-CMA).Two modified algorithms were proposed. The first is robust CM algorithm based on SGD(SGD-RCMA) and the second is robust CM based on recursive least square(RLS-RCMA) novel methods are robust under both Gaussian and α stable distributed ambient noise environments. And compared to SGD-RCMA method, the RLS-RCMA method has a significantly faster convergence rate and more powerful ISI impressing ability.…”

Multi-objective cloud workflow scheduling algorithm based on grid variance by Xiaoan BAO, Yundi CAO, Na ZHANG, Junyan QIAN, Jianwen CAO

    Published 2019-02-01
“…Multi-objective cloud workflow scheduling algorithm based on grid variance and the strategy of bad particles self-learning were presented.Firstly, the characteristics of task scheduling was token into consideration, and particle encoding was discredited.Secondly, the strategy of mapping Pareto optimal workflow scheduling set to self-adaptive grid coordinate system, and calculating the grid distribution value of each Pareto optimal solution was used.Thirdly, grid variance was adopted to evaluate the diversity of current Pareto front and dynamically adjust evolution strategies. Finally, the concept of being dominated times was introduced into bad particles self-learning strategy for filtering out bad particles in population. The simulation experiment shows that workflow scheduling solution set by this algorithm is better than the MOPSO algorithm on both IGD and S performance indexes, and the optimal value is superior to the ε-FDPSO and NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm.…”

An algorithm for joint optimization of dynamic routing and scheduling in time-sensitive networking by Yang ZHOU, Honglong CHEN, Lei ZHANG

    Published 2023-12-01
“…Time-sensitive networking (TSN) is a set of protocols developed by the IEEE TSN task group, aiming at achieving deterministic communications over Ethernet. As the implementation method of TSN traffic scheduling is not specified in the protocols, the routing and scheduling algorithm for TSN remains an open issue. The joint optimization problem of routing and scheduling in TSN for industrial applications was modeled, and then an online heuristic algorithm was proposed to deliver the routing and scheduling solution for dynamic traffics. The routing path was determined by optimizing both the transmission delay and network load factors, and the scheduling time was quickly conducted by twice clipping operations. Finally, a simulated TSN testbed was developed with NeSTiNg framework based on OMNeT.The simulation results show that the execution time of the proposed algorithm outperforms the baseline algorithms even with large scale of network size and network traffics. It shows that the proposed algorithm guarantees the real-time performance even in dynamically changing networks.…”

Reduction algorithm based on supervised discriminant projection for network security data by Fangfang GUO, Hongwu LYU, Weilin REN, Ruini WANG

    Published 2021-06-01
“…In response to the problem that for dimensionality reduction, traditional manifold learning algorithm did not consider the raw data category information, and the degree of clustering was generally at a low level, a manifold learning dimensionality reduction algorithm with supervised discriminant projection (SDP) was proposed to improve the dimensionality reduction effects of network security data.On the basis of the nearest neighbor matrix, the label information of the raw data category was exploited to construct a supervised discriminant matrix in order to translate unsupervised popular learning into supervised learning. The target was to find a low dimensional projective space with both maximum global divergence matrix and minimum local divergence matrix, ensuring that the same kind of data was concentrated and heterogeneous data was scattered after dimensionality reduction projection. The experimental results show that the SDP algorithm, compared with the traditional dimensionality reduction algorithms, can effectively remove redundant data with low time complexity.Meanwhile the data after dimensionality reduction is more concentrated, and the heterogeneous samples are more dispersed, suitable for the actual network security data analysis model.…”
