Performance analysis for pseudo-random asynchronous FH-CDMA system based on average-hit method by GTao ZHEN, Qi ZENG

    Published 2016-07-01
“…The pseudo-random M-ary sequence (such as RS code, polynomial code and low-hit zone FH code and so forth) is widely adopted as FH code in FH-CDMA system. However, the performance of FH-CDMA system employing FH sequence is usually evaluated by simulation, and lack of substantial theoretical analysis.A systematic method for modeling the frequency-hit according to the pre-assigned FH code was proposed; then with the proposed model, the analysis for multi-access interference(MAI)was simplified. The numerical relation between the properties of pseudo-random FH code and the error-rate performance of FH-CDMA system was established.Theoretical and simulation results show that the proposed average-hit model is an efficient method to evaluate the frequency hit and the error-rate of pseudo-randomly FH-CDMA system.Meanwhile, the optimal error-rate low-bound of FH-CDMA system which can achieved by pseudo-random FH code is shown in the conclusion.…”

Stability Analysis of a Class of Switched Nonlinear Systems with an Improved Average Dwell Time Method by Rongwei Guo

    Published 2014-01-01
“…This paper investigates the stability of switched nonlinear (SN) systems in two cases: (1) all subsystems are globally asymptotically stable (GAS), and (2) both GAS subsystems and unstable subsystems coexist, and it proposes a number of new results on the stability analysis. Firstly, an improved average dwell time (ADT) method is presented for the stability of such switched system by extending our previous dwell time method. …”

Hydro-physical properties of soil and pasture vegetation coverage under animal trampling by Pedro H. D. Batista, Gledson L. P. de Almeida, Jhon L. B. da Silva, Frederico A. C. Lins, Marcos V. da Silva, Jose J. F. Cordeiro Junior

“…Before and after grazing, images from the Sentinel-2A satellite were also obtained to observe the response pattern of pasture vegetation over time using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Pasture Vegetation Coverage (PVC). The physical-hydric attributes of the soil were subjected to factor analysis. …”

Changes in abortion access after implementation of Medicaid coverage in Illinois: a retrospective analysis by Terri-Ann Thompson, Carmela Zuniga, Danielle Young, Valeria Hernandez, Debra Stulberg, Lee Hasselbacher, Ashley McHugh, Hanz Dismer

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Introduction In 2018, Illinois implemented House Bill 40 (HB-40), allowing state funds to provide Medicaid coverage for abortion. This study aimed to quantitatively measure changes in access among Illinois residents after the law’s implementation, with a focus on changes experienced by Medicaid versus non-Medicaid patients. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis using 67 462 abortion visits across 18 health centres comparing service delivery patterns 1 year before and 3 years after HB-40 implementation. …”
