Multidimensional analysis suggests that ZNF433 is a promising biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of human cancers by Lingyu Xie, Lingyu Xie, Xin Zeng, Xin Zeng, Hui Luo, Hui Luo, Bin Xie, Xuefeng Wang, Nan Wu, Junrong Zou, Junrong Zou, Junrong Zou, Guoxi Zhang, Guoxi Zhang, Guoxi Zhang, Xiaofeng Zou, Xiaofeng Zou, Xiaofeng Zou, Hui Xu, Hui Xu, Hui Xu

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Despite the growing body of research on KRAB-ZFPs, the role of ZNF433, a relatively less studied member of this family, remains poorly understood in the context of cancer.MethodsWe conducted multi-dimensional analyses using publicly available databases, including TCGA and GTEx, to evaluate ZNF433’s expression patterns, genetic mutations, survival outcomes, immune microenvironment interactions, and diagnostic potential across different cancers. Functional enrichment and protein interaction network analyses were also performed to explore its potential involvement in cancer-related pathways.ResultsOur findings revealed that ZNF433 is significantly downregulated in most cancer types, with stage-dependent expression patterns observed in KIRC and KIRP. …”

Klein, Michael Bronstein, Benedikt Hallgrimsson, Hilde Peeters, Peter Claes

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Experiments are designed to illustrate the following properties of CFPSs that can aid clinicians in narrowing down their search space: a CFPS can 1) classify syndromes accurately, 2) generalize to novel syndromes, and 3) preserve the relatedness of genetic diseases, meaning that clusters of phenotypically similar disorders reflect functional relationships between genes. The proposed model consists of three main components: an encoder based on GDL optimizing distances between groups of individuals in the CFPS, a decoder enhancing classification by reconstructing faces, and a singular value decomposition layer maintaining orthogonality and optimal variance distribution across dimensions. …”
