Study on the Influence of Shawan River Interception and Drainage Project on Flood Control and Drainage of Shawan River and Shenzhen Reservoir by CHEN Ligui, LI Tianxiao

    Published 2022-01-01
“…The Shawan River Interception and Drainage Project is the requirement of the drinking water source protection zone in the Shenzhen Reservoir for its optimization and adjustment. The construction of the project may increase the flood control and drainage pressure of the Shenzhen River Basin. Thus,it is necessary to study the influence of the project on the flood control and drainage of the basin.Using the numerical simulation technology of urban flood, this paper investigates the influence of different Shawan River interception schemes on the flood control and drainage of Shenzhen Reservoir and Shawan River, with the following results obtained.① Compared with the combination of flood diversion in the basin and an underground reservoir lake, the combination of source regulation and a composite rainwater-flood reservoir lake has an obvious optimization effect on the flood control and drainage in the Shawan River Basin.② Under the interception and drainage scheme of combining the source regulation and a composite rainwater-flood reservoir lake, when the Shawan River encounters a once-in-a-century flood, the flood volume and peak discharge during flood discharge by the Shawan sluice will be enhanced with the lowering of the initial dispatch stage of the Shenzhen Reservoir, and the flood control pressure on the Shenzhen Reservoir will be alleviated. The results indicate the optimization effect of the river interception and drainage project on flood control and drainage of the basin, being of guiding significance for the decision-making regarding the scale and scheme of the interception and drainage project.…”
