Dynamic characteristics of dissolved organic carbon release from the mixed leaf litter decomposition of coniferous and broad-leaved tree species
Published 2024-07-01“…In order to adjust the structure of inefficient Pinus massoniana(P)forest and explore the dynamic changes for dissolved organic carbon(DOC)during the mixed decomposition process of P. massoniana and native broad-leaved tree species. Our research focuses on the leaf litter of P. massoniana, Cinnamomum camphora(C)and Toona sinensis(T), and combine them into the 15 treatments(3 single tree treatments + 12 mixed treatments)according to different tree species combinations and mass proportions, and then conducted field decomposition experiments to further explore the optimal tree species combination and the proportion of mixed planting for DOC release. …”

Acquisition of Variation in the Use of alors, donc, fait que by Advanced French-as-a-Second-Language Learners in Ontario, Canada
Published 2025-04-01“…Our study shows that: (i) although these two FL2 groups’ use of the connectors is distant from the norms of FL1 speech, the university students achieve a more advanced level of acquisition of this case of variation than do the FI students, reflecting the positive effect of continued learning of French at the postsecondary level; (ii) ‘level of opportunities to interact in French with native speakers’ has a greater positive impact on the acquisition of alors/donc/fait que than ‘time spent learning French’; and (iii) both groups of students evidence incomplete acquisition of the linguistic constraints of connector choice.…”

Projection-based stereolithography for direct 3D printing of heterogeneous ultrasound phantoms.
Published 2021-01-01“…Therefore, there is a need to create a platform that is capable of generating well-characterized phantoms that can mimic the basic anatomical, functional, and mechanical properties of native tissues and pathologies. Using a 3D-printing technique based on stereolithography, we fabricated US phantoms using soft materials in a single fabrication session, without the need for material casting or back-filling. …”
