Correlation between Maternal Vitamin D and Thyroid Function in Pregnancy with Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes: A Cross-Sectional Study by Salma Ahi, Mohsen Adelpour, Iman Fereydooni, Naser Hatami

    Published 2022-01-01
“…Pearson’s correlation in all subjects showed that vitamin D levels did not have a significant relationship with maternal age. Only in the third trimester, there was a significant difference in maternal age based on their vitamin D status. …”

Microbiome Understanding in Maternity Study (MUMS), an Australian prospective longitudinal cohort study of maternal and infant microbiota: study protocol by Amanda Henry, Emad M El-Omar, Lynne M Roberts, Georgina L Hold, Maria E Craig, Katie Harris, Daniella Susic, Gregory Davis, Anthony J O' Sullivan, Emily McGovern, George Mangos

    Published 2020-09-01
“…Introduction Pregnancy induces significant physiological and cardiometabolic changes, and is associated with alterations in the maternal microbiota. Increasing rates of prepregnancy obesity, metabolic abnormalities and reduced physical activity, all impact negatively on the microbiota causing an imbalance between the commensal microorganisms (termed dysbiosis), which may drive complications, such as gestational diabetes or hypertensive disorders. …”

Analysis of coverage probability in NOMA-HetNet based on Matern cluster process by Xiaorong JING, Yixi CHEN, Qianbin CHEN

    Published 2020-09-01
“…Considering the correlation between the users and base stations and the network irregularity, the non-orthogonal multiple access heterogeneous networks (NOMA-HetNet) based on Matern cluster process (MCP) was modeled. The coverage probability of UEs was analyzed.Firstly, the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratios (SINR) of UEs were theoretically derived.Secondly,an updating law for the upper limit of SINR was presented for the imperfect serial interference elimination (SIC) scheme, which was more consistent with the reality. Then, using the mathematical tools such as spatial coordinate system, probability theory, stochastic geometry theory and order statistics, the correlation probability and service distances of the different types of UEs were analyzed. Finally, the theoretical expression of the coverage probability of UEs was derived. The effects of cluster radius, base station density, interference residual factors on service distances, and coverage probability are verified by numerical simulations. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis, which testifies the correctness of the theoretical analysis.…”

    Published 2013-01-01
“…Only two of them had TSH level >7 mIU/L at the 3rd postnatal week, and all had normal free T4 (FT4). Median maternal TSH level of these five infants with TSH >20 mIU/mL was 6.6 mIU/mL. …”

An iterative method based on the average quadrature formula by Tusar Singh, Dwiti Behera, Shno Othman Ahmed, Rostam Saeed

    Published 2025-03-01
“…This method involves the creation of a new quadrature formula by averaging Simpson's 1/3 rd and Trapezoidal rules. The newly developed quadrature formula is then used to establish the new iterative scheme, which modifies the Newton-Raphson method. …”
