A distributed strategy for the multi-target rescue using a UAV swarm under communication constraints by Hanqing YU, Yan LIN, Linqiong JIA, Qiang LI, Yijin Zhang

    Published 2022-09-01
“…The current designs of the cooperative decision-making of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarm usually adopt unreasonable assumptions on the communication ability between UAVs.Focusing on a multi-target rescue problem of a UAV swarm under constraints of energy, load and path, the limitation on the information sharing due to the communication constraints and the flight path of UAVs were taken into account.Firstly, the problem was formulated as a partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP).Then, a recurrent neural network was used to propose a deep-reinforcement-learning-based distributed rescue strategy, which is able to adapt to the changeable communication topology.Simulation results show that the proposed strategy outperforms other strategies under communication constraints, and further show that a careful joint setting of the size and communication ability of a UAV swarm is needed to achieve the best compromise between the UAV swarm rescue performance and the cost.…”

The effects of physical exercise on the time management of college students: a chain mediation effect test by Yue Cao, Yong Jiang

    Published 2025-07-01
“…In addition, it was found that the degree of exercise structuring (e.g., a team training program) significantly enhanced the cascade effect (β = 0.15, p < 0.05), whereas high-intensity interval training (HIIT) may weaken the transfer efficiency due to short-term cognitive load. The findings contribute to the construction of an integrated “behavioral-psychological-behavioral” model that reveals the complex mechanisms by which physical activity affects time management, and practically suggests that colleges and universities should design a collaborative program of “structured physical education curriculum + cognitive training” to systematically improve students’ time management ability and academic efficacy.…”

JMY powers dendritogenesis and is regulated by CaM revealing a general, critical principle in neuromorphogenesis by Maja Kühne, Anna-Lena Zepernick, Britta Qualmann, Michael Manfred Kessels, Maryam Izadi-Seitz

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Here, we identify the WH2 domain-based actin nucleator JMY as target of the calcium sensor calmodulin, reveal that JMY is critical for dendritic arbor formation and unravel that JMY’s molecular mechanisms employed in dendritic arborization are depended on Arp2/3 complex interaction, Arp2/3 complex activity and functionality of JMY’s WH2 domains, i.e. on JMY’s abilities to promote actin filament formation. We furthermore demonstrate that Ca2+/calmodulin association regulates the G-actin loading of JMY’s first WH2 domain. …”
