Published 2024“…The study results on the effects of early marriage among the youth in Kayonza Sub County Ntungamo District, the highest number of respondents mentioned that young mothers are more likely to experience complications during childbirth, the lowest number of respondents mentioned that with incomplete education, the chances of securing stable, well-paying jobs are reduced, trapping the youth in cycles of poverty and economic dependence. The study results on the strategies for ending early marriage among the youth in Kayonza Sub County Ntungamo District, 28% the highest number of respondents mentioned the promotion of policies and programs that ensure young girls and boys to remain in school while the lowest number of respondents talked of ensuring the strict enforcement of existing laws that set a minimum legal age for marriage. …”
